Adam Wharton

Liverpool quite well off in their midfield and they have other priorities in their defence. Having spent so much this window I’d be surprised to see this repeated again next year
Lots of Dipper fans think Mac Allister is destined for Spain soon

If Mac Allister goes they need a good replacement, Wharton may not be like-for-like for Mac Allister but he'd probably compliment Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and Wirtz

I'm all for him joining, worry Rodri is never going to be the same player, and while I have faith in Nico I think competition will bring out the best in one or both of them, see who's going to be Rodris long term successor

Sure there are better options so than him across Europe, he's just the flavour of the month atm being British and playing week in week in a league we all watch

I reckon we have the best pull for Wharton. We can offer a young squad building project. I only really see the dippers as competition for him. We have space for him like you said and Rodri is not getting younger. United are trash, and I would be shocked it Liverpool have the funds for him.
Liverpool can claim for a new shed at their training ground

You look at the fees Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal paid for player Palace be asking for 120m for Wharton and seeing like there is a queue of clubs want him it be around that fee!

Yeah I’d say McAllister is more their Bernardo (from yesteryear) covering every blade of grass and wouldn’t put Wharton in that category really but he is a top player and hopefully we beat them to him

Not sure what it is, but you very rarely seem have anything positive to say about City players. Are you actually a City fan?
When I say something positive you guys don’t care. You can easily look up my posts as a mod . I‘m just critical

Yes, you are. As for us not caring when you say something positive, I'm confused. What do you want; some sort of reward, or thanks, for that?
No I honestly could care less. It’s just a forum
Afterall. Just saying there’s positive and negative things. Just because I am a fan I am not going to create stories. It’s not a pink world. If my posts are too negative for you - you can ban me at any given time.

I'm always weary of English players. Some worked out great in the end but a long transition time.

This guy seems a worker though so could settle fast. Or not. Who knows.

In any case my priority would be a new Kompany level CB and a new fearless attacking threat.

The middle of midfield seems covered I think.
Weary = tired

Wary = worried about

Couldn’t care less*

If you could care less than that means you do care an amount.

1. Who's asking you to create stories?
2. What the hell is a "pink world"?
3. Being negative is not a bannable offence. Wumming and trolling is.

Wharton is a great prospect.
In terms of succession planning, I absolutely get what you are saying. However...

Mfuni comes in to LB
O'Reilly moves to midfield to replace Bernardo
Mukasa promoted to first-team
Rodri, Nico G, Reijnders, O'Reilly, Mukasa - Big, powerful, technical, creative
Foden/Cherki in front
WIngers - Doku, McAidoo, Bobb, Savinho
Echeverri returns

I'm not averse to a bit of Wharton, but oh the future looks bright.

You forgot Jumah Bah. Bah is the real deal. Been watching him since he’s been on loan at Nice. Bah is something else

Why are they struggling to keep hold of their best players. We never had that problem really.
