Let's face it were a team in transition.
A draw away at Brentford would be considered a decent result.
If they start going in off the woodwork who knows we might even win. CTID
I'm with you mate, I'd love to beat these but 'istory means I'll take a draw here

I want Nunes back in the team i think rather than stones until Khusanov is back, Johnny looked a bit of an oil tanker down the sides, also Bernardo out..

Donnarumma
Nunes Dias Gvardiol O Reilly
Reijnders Rodri Foden
Savinho Haaland Doku
Totally agree with you what makes me sad
When I look at stones and benardo
Being part of city greatest side
What does pep see when there is no pace or attacking on right side
But who I am I to question pep
Is it he's too loyal but that doesn't win games

I'm not suggesting that Bernardo should play but against a side like Brentford who are both physical and pacy he will spend most of the game on his arse
I rather give savinho a run of games to gain momentum than seeing Bernardo on the wings for the 3rd year in a row where it’s time to stop it. At least savinho is somehow a threat that defenders have to worry. With Bernardo we back to Doku doing everything

Play like we did at Monaco and we'll lose. If it's the same back four and Rodri, we're almost guaranteed to get caught on the break a few times, and it could be a busy day for Donnarumma.

I think we played so open against Monaco because they had so many injuries and everybody was battering them. We got a bit of a shock although but for the bloody woodwork and a shit referee we would have won. I'm hoping we are a bit more pragmatic on Sunday.

Brentford are a decent team, if we get the ball back to front quickly we will win, if we go sideways backwards sideways backwards, repeat and rinse and allow them to get back in shape, then it's a draw at best, but it is a game we can win if we are brave enough in the final 3rd

Khusanov was injured. Stones is very experienced and our best defender. He isn't a full back though.

Plenty of rags on here to question Pep. Don't worry about that.

It'll be interesting to see Pep's press conference this afternoon and hear whether any of the injured four are ready for the bench. Its unlikely that Khusanov of Air Nouri will be but I think the other two have an outside chance. Pretty sure I read somewhere that Cherki is back in full training.

Is he? We conceded 3 goals because of him already. With the ball he is. Pure defensively Khusanov is better. Also at this point I would be angry as a teammate when I see a player being injured countless times just to take your spot at any given moment he is back. We are not getting consistency at the back by doing this

we drew to them in this fixture in January from 2-0 lead in about last 10 mins.

fucking defend a lead this time, shall we?

Reijnders

Foden
Doku
Haaland

Of the various teams that have established something of a foothold in the Prem after rising from lower divisions (Brighton, Bournemouth, Forest etc.) Brentford's the only one I dislike. Hope City smash them. Savinho is more likely to get a yellow card for diving than to get a goal but Haaland will score two again and I'm going for City 3-0.

Apart from Palmero and CWC when was our last away win? I actually can't remember, was it last day last season as we were away?
