They seem much better at home than they are away but have lost the two players who gave us fits on the break. Plus they have that gimp Henderson in midfield.

Be disappointed if we don't beat these.

This game is really tough make no mistake. If we are to beat these, we need to focus, with complete concentration for 98 minutes and put away our chances when we get them.

Furthermore the players from the bench that will replace at least Rodri and others from the 60 minute mark, need to cut out the stupid mistakes, such as those made in the Arsenal and Monaco games.

Especially conceding possesion and needlessly giving free kicks, throw ins and corners away.

These guys are set piece specialists with deadly long throws. Come on City!!!!

The thing is we were full value for the win last season away but decided to press the self destruct button. Get over that mental hurdle and we are on our way for the win. Brentford aren't any better than Thomas Frank's team for last season. Set Pieces are the obvious threat and they have lost a a couple of their key players.

I’m sure they will be a threat with Henderson knocking it over the top - it worked V Chelsea and United

Whilst we have better players, our right side of defence is not quick and/or capable of brain dead moments

That said, I expect we will win 3-0

They have lost some decent players in the summer....keeper is quality though, I fully expect him to have a worldie and them to cause us all sorts of problems we'll likely bring on ourselves.

Dipper England again, only had him the other week too.
Lets see how he officiates compared to his Newcastle v Arsenal match where he failed to book Saka twice {foul and clear dissent), allowed Gabriel to punch the Newcastle striker, not give a clear 2nd to Calafouri (or however u spell it) and ignored the Newcastle penalty for handball at the end.

If we are winning let's see if he just adds on 3 minutes also like he did in the Dipper Derby where he also booked a Everton player for taking a quick free kick.

Win this and it's a very good start to the season in my opinion. We have the 'fortune' that many of our players won't be part of their international squads and can hopefully stay and build fitness and work with the club over the break, where again, hopefully, we can get even better.

In attack we are fine, it's just tightening the defence by stopping those sloppy periods we lose control of games.

This will be a tough one with their physicality but a good chance to right the wrongs from Wednesday.
