Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

US President Donald Trump says he is setting a Sunday evening deadline for Hamas to agree to his plan to end the war in Gaza, — Trump had warned Hamas that if they reject his proposed Gaza peace deal, Israel would have full U.S. backing to "finish the job."
The IDF have killed far more people than Hamas. Are they being asked to surrender? After all they are the invaders.

Gazans are being given no voice in the plan for their land.Trump, Netanyahu, Blair and various billionaires will have a say however.

I suspect Hamas will reject it on that basis.

The problem is and always has been the West is asking the wrong question? What can we do to make Israel safe at the same time as allowing them to steal more land.

When it should be, given that Israel is the aggressor, how do we get Israel to stop occupying Palestinian land and move back to the 67 borders.

I'm not sure it is good for me. If I do something "positive" that might feel "good for me" I'm acutely aware that while I'm doing that, I'm not doing anything positive to stop a genocide.

And the police could be investigating terrorism rather than arresting people for peacefully protesting against genocide.
Nobody can individually do anything to stop the genocide so getting angry and worried about it isn't going to do you any good really. All you're doing is staying forever angry over something that you can't control so it's a negative loop.

I don't want to reduce what's happening but it's always good to have a pause to reflect upon what's really important closer to home. I think with what happened yesterday that's where people should perhaps reflect when going out to protest as getting angry can only breed hate and more potential for violence.

I have no problem with people protesting, each to their own and that right should always be protected. It is getting excessive though now and I do worry about where our society is going. Social cohesion hasn't felt this low and unstable for decades and protests do raise awareness but they also fuel division, violence and hate.

I think most people are just tired of it whilst I do agree with the cause. I don't really go into the city on a weekend anymore because a few months ago we walked past a protest (I can't remember what it was about) and the noise startled my little girl, it's not nice and a pause would always be welcome in light of yesterday.

Yitzak Rabin managed to until he was murdered by an Israeli far right nationalist.

An Israeli far right nationalist that was so popular with Likud that the parliament had to pass a law stopping them from pardoning him.
And important to note that Rabin's widow accused Netanyahu of encouraging the murder. She said at the funeral she'd prefer to shake Arafat's hand.

People who spend their time defending the freaks and scum who were on that demonstration last night in Manchester - there’s something deeply wrong with them.
There is nothing wrong with them it’s a human right to protest, not just in Manchester all over the world people are protesting, they were organised in advance to time with the flotilla reaching Gaza very few people taking part would have known about the events in Manchester.

Until Israel releases the people they abducted illegally the demonstrations will continue.

Israel are doing what they need to
to eradicate hamas.
Quick reminder of just some of what israel has done to 'eradicate hamas':

Murdered British aid workers and didn't bother to investigate
Shot dead their own hostages that were waving white flags
Dropped white phosphorus on civilians
Attacked disabled people with dogs
1 shot 2 kills - shooting pregnant women and making t shirts out of it
Gang raping prisoners
Protesting for the right to rape prisoners
Having prisoners rapists on tv
Shooting old women walking the street with their 5 year old grandson whilst waving a white flag
Singing songs about raping and killing Palestinian women and children
Shooting people in the testicles as target practice
Bombing schools
Bombing every hospital
Bombing churches and mosques
Shooting toddlers multiple times in the head
Dressing up in clothes from families they've just killed (systemic)
Running over people in tanks and bulldozers
Burning people alive
Burning olive trees
Pouring concrete down wells
Poisoning animals
Using bulldozers to block ambulances
Shooting diplomats and irish peacekeepers
Banning journalists (to hide the truth)
Executing 15 red crescent workers, burying them with bulldozers, lying that they were a threat but forgetting to take a Red Crescent workers phone which had a video proving that israel executed them and everything israel said was indeed bullshit yet again
Killing 11 year old influencers
Killing 11 year old journalists
Killing over 230 journalists
Killing 20,00+kids
Creating the largest cohort of child amputees in the world
Genocide tourism (Boat rides and viewing points for watching the iof drop bombs on Palestinians)
Referring to Palestinian babies as terrorists
Blocking aid trucks
Killing one doctors 9 children
Leaving babies in incubators to die
Using "Where's daddy" Ai that tracks 'terrorists' then bombs them and their family when they get to their house
Turning distribution of food into some sort of squid game to murder hundreds of people
Bulldozing cemeteries
Starving babies because they wont allow baby formula in
Spending hundreds of millions on influencers to spread propaganda
'Double tap' strikes that aim to murder as many medics as possible
Bombing Qatar
Bombing lebanon
Bombing syria
Bombing iran
Murdering negotiators
Lying about beheaded babies
Lying about babies burned in ovens
Broken the ceasefire that would potentially returned all hostages on March 18th when they slaughtered hundreds of women and children (then pressed on with the genocide)

I'll hazard a guess you don't have a fucking clue about half of the above, and yet you come on here and tell other people that they're misinformed.

There is no Hamas in the west bank by the way, so why's israel killing people there and stealing their houses and land? West bank had nothing to do with october 7th either and no hostages have ever been there. So explain that one to me

Three or four days?

How come Putin always gets two weeks to ignore him?

Incidentally, Yigal Amir is so popular with Likud that the parliament had to pass a law stopping them from pardoning him, the assassin of a Prime Minister.
Netanyahu was antisemitic - toward Rabin.

I could get a bit angry about that nonsense.

How can protest against genocide be excessive?

Take a look where Israel is holding the Somud Flotillas illegally abducted prisoner top security prison,…. interesting poster on the wall bulldozed Gaza and “settlers from within” written above the picture

Could the British government give any clue as to why he would call peaceful protestors terrorists?

Didn't want to post this on the synagogue murders thread.

Israel has invited Tommy Robinson as a response to the murders.

Leaves me lost for words.

Right.

The people protesting in Manchester and London yesterday evening wouldn’t have known about the terror attack in Manchester?

A neat little example of the mindset.
