Just watching Match of the Day and realised not only did they get beat, they got beat by a Chelsea team with half of their first team players out. ETA: Fucking hell, not only that, but half of their second string defence get injured in the game as well.

Always the problem with galacticos. No-one wants to do the hard work and the players who have something to prove and put the effort in are benched for players who walk into the team because they cost more.
 
Their end to last season was pretty poor, right after securing the title. No wins for their final 4 PL games. The signs were there, the fans and their arse-lickers just casually dismissed them.

Frimpong is worse than TAA? That is quite some achievement
 
Dippers have done what we did last year
Started well but not played well
Now their form has caught up with them and the momentum is gone
Add to that everyone can see fullbacks are shite, forwards don’t track back and salah is only good for penalties
Slot being found out a bit here

Ekitike is certainly performing and is playing better than both Jota and Diaz have been for them. Luckily they bought the petulant child who for some reason is benching him, despite being their most lethal attacker.

Wouldn't be the first. How many players went to the rags and saw their career go backwards when they could have come to us and won everything?
 
They have a few problems which makes it all the better and one is fatal as regards this season.

The fatal problem is the quality of their central defence. Look at Van Dijk when Caicedo picks the ball up and runs for Chelsea's first goal. That is an older defender panicking and in reverse knowing his legs have gone. Konate and Gomez can't cover Van Dijk. This is not form, it's age. There is no solution for this other than to find a new central defender.

Other problems include the ageing Salah, and a collective drop off in the will to win after winning a title.
