They have a few problems which makes it all the better and one is fatal as regards this season.

The fatal problem is the quality of their central defence. Look at Van Dijk when Caicedo picks the ball up and runs for Chelsea's first goal. That is an older defender panicking and in reverse knowing his legs have gone. Konate and Gomez can't cover Van Dijk. This is not form, it's age. There is no solution for this other than to find a new central defender.

Other problems include the ageing Salah, and a collective drop off in the will to win after winning a title.

He was tracking the other Chelsea player thinking Caicido will pass to him! If VVD went to close down Caicido he could have passed the ball to that Chelsea player then he is through but Thought you close down the player who is the most dangerous? We are ones who always back of when a player is running at us annoys the fuck out of me!

Haven't seen much of the dippers so far this season (through choice), but from the little I have seen I think it's more a crisis in confidence than anything else. They are not what I would call a bad team, in the sense that the rags are a bad team, but at times it seems as though they are playing like a bunch of strangers who have never met one another before. I get the impression that certain players don't trust certain others, so instead of using him in a particular passage of play they'll take another option and the whole move collapses. Salah seems to be on an ego trip, preferring the limelight to team play, and as others have said Vain Dick struggles to keep up with the game because age has caught up with him.

I think last season was the perfect storm for the dippers, particularly at Anfield (or the National Slottery as I have started calling it) where everything seemed to come together for them: refereeing decisions, low injury count, yellow/red card favouritism etc, and with the quality of players and the drop off from ourselves and others, they hardly had to break a sweat to walk away with the title. We've just entered the first week or so of October and already there are signs that all is not well with them, we'll see how this particular winter of discontent pans out for them, but I don't think we'll be seeing a repeat of last season.

I think it’s more than confidence. The defence is a shambles and they have no cover at CB. They are wide open in midfield and Wirtz has caused them all sorts of structural issues. If they get turned over by United (and I know it’s a big if) then the pressure will really crank up on Slot.

They've not been great all season. You can't score last minute winners every game, you have to get them won convincingly to be a proper title challenger, you're not going to get a lucky last minute screamer every game.

They've had a taste of their own medicine vs Palace and Chelsea, and they're starting to panic. Hopefully they'll have a November 24 City run.

Excuses like that tell me they ain’t winning the league and could finish lower than 2nd or even lower
Who knows? We’re experiencing the first proper test of Slot. He’s trying to adapt from Klopp with new signings.

They’re not used to playmaking from midfield. They had dogs of war to allow space for their full backs to create.

Their full backs now are shite.

They aren’t using a deep 9 either, meaning Salah doesn’t get as much freedom either.

Interesting times for them ahead.

Yep and the amount of balls Salah got from Trent was ridiculous they missing him big time

The alternative theory is nonce.
So basically the defence of him is that he was calling someone a baby rapist instead?

You aren’t refraining from saying why you are going to say to call them a numpty without the original word being really bad.
It doesn’t matter if it was the N word, or the word nonce, he should be called out for it.
I certainly wouldn't be one for moaning and whinging about "wokery" and "cancel culture".
Both being woke and cancelling people who consistently behave like cunts definitely have their place in a balanced society.
Neither do I like that bald Dubliner who presents the Anfield Agenda.
Buuuut... with respect, you and others are losing the run of yourselves. What you're suggesting is holding someone to account for something they didn't actually say but, in your head you are sure they were probably itching to say that something and that something is so very offensive it would never cross a decent person's mind that somebody would ever say such a thing... or something.
I don't want to start an argument withyou. There's enough of that shot in the internet and it never solves anything. That said, if you stand back and reconsider it, you might be tempted to agree there is more than a whiff of Thought Police vibes off of your post.

The crown of champions can be a heavy one, once you have reached the summit motivating yourself as a team to do it again can be a very tough task. Highlights what an amazing achievement we witnessed with four in a row.
Yeah the media will be pushing it's very hard to go back to back.

Imagine a team going back to back to back to back....and still not getting the plaudits they deserve.
