Stats are ridiculously variable.....and often, very telling when they are used to judge a player (good or bad) he's totally invisible for 99.99% of the time he's on the pitch, most games you need to check the teamsheet, to see if he's still playing.
 
I was one of those calling for us not to sell to spurs because I think there’s a top class player in there somewhere….unfortunately he seems determined to play within himself when given the chance……I hope he can turn it around

I was talking to a fella in work on Friday about Semenyo, he then goes and scores two crackers. His second goal he didn't even break his stride and just stroked the ball beautifully with his weaker foot. Heaven knows how much he would cost to buy him. I'd love him at City.
 
I just don’t see it with him at all,thought he was going to take the league by storm when he came in from girona,but he’s been on the whole poor,and seems to be getting worse,won’t even bother commenting on his play acting,although it’s rife in the league..
 
I really can't figure him out, he's got pace and tricks and I honestly thought if he stayed he'd be pulling up trees to play for Brazil in the World Cup but he looks like the kind of player who wouldn't stand out in Brentfords line up. He really needs to up his game, beat a man, get a cross or shot in or something.

Personally I would've taken the money from Spurs for him I think. I can well imagine him going there and playing well but if they did offer £50m there's plenty of better players available.
 
Good player but it's almost like he needs to go on loan somewhere to get some solid game time. Bundersliga might be good for him. Premier league is tough and unforgiving and I just dont think he's cut out for it. Still young though and he may come good in the end.
 
Give Spurs 75m to take him, then go and buy Semenyo when we've freed up his wages. A young lad, granted, but I'm sorry he's nowhere near our level.

Our level has dropped big time unfortunately, because we haven't got enough top players, it's as simple as that. Some can't see it or refuse to see it, and giving him a new contract is absolute madness. A new contract should be earned, he's done nothing to warrant a new contract.

I'm not singling him out, I don't think Ruben or Rico deserved new contracts either for similar reasons.

That bit on the touchline in the second half yesterday was embarrassing. Rolling around like he'd had his leg snapped in half while we're trying to defend, then immediately jumped up when the ball broke forward. Can't be doing with wankers like that, no matter who they play for.
