Marmoush 28 goals and 17 assists last seasonDo we??
Most did, he was no worse than anyone else.Nico O struggled second half in all honesty.
It wasn't long ago Liverpool were eight points ahead of us and Arsenal five, now the gap is two and three.
This please me! You can see Rodri looks like every injury is a long one. Obviously prefer him not to get knocks at all but quick recovery should be a confidence booster for himThere's a quote from Rodri himself, saying he hopes to be available next game.
For us?Marmoush 28 goals and 17 assists last season
Cherki 13 goals and 21 assists
So yeh
Yeah and you are welcomeThat's your opinion and you are welcome to it..my opinion is he's improving and played well today
Not a fan of nunes but think he had one of his better games today although brent ford toothless reallyThe one player who seems to be dividing opinion is Nico. Some saying he was solid and is improving and others thinking he's adding not much at all.
Strange how people can take totally different opinions away from the same match.
Everyone appears to agree on Savinho.
Nunes got away unblemished on the Matchday Thread.
Really ? I see massive improvements in him even though he’s had very little game time, certainly not consistently, stick with him fella I reckon he’s about to prove his worth in the team, sometimes it’s about learning to appreciate what a player brings to a side, no point comparing him to Rodri at this stage, even Rodri isn’t Rodri at the minute, very few are, but the more I see him play the more I understand his value to the teamTotally agree can’t really understand why we bought him think he has shown no quality what so ever and he was not cheap.
Slow with the ball, think he reads the game bad, Bad to cover the ball we could have got far better player for that Mooney.
But to the game great first half second was not so great, we should have closed it in the first half Foden and Reijnder should have scored on their chances. To be a little negative we must start to tap in those typ of chances we did a great first half but with the second we did we could easily lost the 3 points
Nope.I take it Grealish can't play the next game for Everton?
lol. Ok mateFor us?
Totally all this. I'd prefer us to look good for 45-60 minutes and find ways to win at this stage of the season, it means we are moving in the right direction. I don't think we have put a good 90 in yet (United notwithstanding, but they're shite) but all signs are looking positive. I just don't see the collapse of last year with this group of players.I know it's only seven games in but make no mistakes that was a huge three points today. It wasn't long ago Liverpool were eight points ahead of us and Arsenal five, now the gap is two and three, something probably none of us saw coming. Both teams will have looked at us this season, the key players we've lost and written us off. The way the table looks now has put a little bit of doubt into their minds which is a good thing.
We are very much a squad in transition. Nobody loses key players like De Bruyne, Gundogan, Walker and yes Ederson and doesn't struggle a bit, as we did so for a period last week against Burnley. At 1-1, I said this to the bloke next to me at the game. Somebody else took exception to this until I explained it to him. It wasn't a criticism. I was simply pointing out that as we settle new players in there will be periods in games we have to suffer. The second half today was a perfect example of that....but we won. Digging in and doing so will again lift the team. Brentford is a tough place to go, they are the modern day Stoke.
So seven games in the signs are promising. At times we look like the City of old, purring and totally dominating. Then, often in the same game we look what we are, a team trying to incorporate new players and gel. The one worry is the lack of goals from other players. We have scored fifteen. Haaland has nine of those and two were own goals. Others have to start doing their bit, especially our wingers.
Doesn't matter hes a piss pot loser according to fans of the team he won a treble for:-)I take it Grealish can't play the next game for Everton?
Yeah but in previous seasons under Pep we've been like this until the NY, then the plan beds in and we turn on the burnersWe are.a strange team, first half almost perfect except only being 1 nil up then well........ it got very scrappy.
I kind of think he will. He's got it in him and hopefully he'll be as big for us as Rodri and the legend that Rodri replaced.Yeah and you are welcome
To yours, I hope you are right and Nico prove me wrong
I take it Grealish can't play the next game for Everton?
You take it correctly.I take it Grealish can't play the next game for Everton?
It's all about degrees, I was very positive first half but as fans we rarely consider the obvious elephant in the roomYeah but in previous seasons under Pep we've been like this until the NY, then the plan beds in and we turn on the burners
Don't see Brenford in the top 13. But 1-0 is a great win?Good thing about our position now is that everyone below us has played the same number of games!
