Rangers thread | 2025/26

Fk knows who's going to be in the dugout next. The players have one less excuse now if they continue to be shit. Easy to hide behind RM and his nonsense philosophy but if they continue to stink the place out under the next guy then the focus should shift to them. Garbage again today as they have been all season.

Don't feel the supporters will trust Thelwell to hire the correct coach.

All joking aside I’d get behind any Rangers manager.

Appointing him was a monumental fuck up. Allowing it to go on long after everyone knew he was done is yet another huge error. What’s more frustrating is that other mob are on the verge of imploding but we’ve put them under zero pressure

I’m hoping against hope it’s not going to be Slippy G but have a sneaking feeling he’s already been sounded out
You certainly missed a perfect opportunity to catch or pass Celtic, they are gash to say the least, compared to the last few seasons. If you're not linked to every manager currently out of a job by lunchtime tomorrow, Slippy is probably already nailed on......and probably another mistake. Season was over weeks ago, so maybe better to stick someone temporary in, until somebody better becomes available, than those currently out of a job?

watch Sams full video or ffwd to the end - Martin had to be escorted out of a side exit to avoid Rangers fans

Muscat is Bookies favourite at the moment but he’s in a title fight at the moment and his contract runs until 31st of December

Lampard wanted the job and has a Rangers connection but never leaving Coventry with them flying

I heard last year McInnes would take the job ( reliable source) but not so sure now.

Slippy G has been posting Rangers related posts on his instagram for weeks now

Sean Dyche has been linked in the past and those making the decisions having close links to Everton …..

It’ll never happen, and I don’t blame him, but if I could have anybody it would be GvB

Muscat? Had to look to see where he's managed, let's be honest, pub Leagues at best. However, probably a better bet than Dyche.....managers like him are fine, being organised and hard to beat for better teams....but realistically, at Rangers, bar Celtic he should be dominating and beating all the rest, he's a better fit for Falkirk!! Yep, not a chance with Fat Frank, with them doing well.

Rangers recent situ has been amusing I have to say. But a word on Martin - what a throbber. To have that ego and level of arrogance despite failing miserably week on week takes some doing. Just seemed like an angry, confrontational bastard every time he spoke.

A thoroughly dislikable person with an arrogance that is off the scale
This comes as no surprise to any fan who has come across him in the EFL.

Also has a very high opinion of himself.

Could see him at Norwich for a homecoming if they bullet Liam Manning. Both play possession at all costs football

As long as we keep winning, beat Hearts in a few weeks, everything will be fine. :)

Who would you want?

Who I want? I never wanted rid of GvB but that boat has sailed.

I have a horrible feeling it’s going to be wee Slippy!! I won’t last long on FF if that’s the case

McInnes but would he leave Hearts at the moment? I think it’s a possibility. Paisley boy, Rangers through n through.

Kevin Muscat was the first I thought of but not sure the timing is right for him. He has / had close ties to the City Group

Sean Dyche makes a lot of sense with those behind the scenes having close ties to Everton.

It’s just my opinion but I believe we could have had a successful season if we’d brought in just about anybody but Martin. I believe the season could have been saved if we had moved sooner to chase that fraud out of the club weeks ago when it was glaringly obvious it was never going to work! It’s possibly just too late now to turn this season around but we simply have to get the right man in place soon.

Caretaker until the end of the season, then get McInnes in following his title win at the Jambos.
