Peace deal for how long ? I don’t feel any optimism about all this.

In such a long running,complex and fluid conflict there are clearly many things that could scupper this plan either immediately or farther down the road.
I can't understand tho how someone could have no optimism at all, surely everyone should have some hope that this may lead if not to a long lasting solution at least a reprieve from the daily death and destruction with hostages released and aid allowed to those in desperate need.

There is only one reason he wants peace, and that is for personal gain. His motives have been and always will be for personal gain. He's never done anything to benefit someone else that hasn't involved personal aggrandizement.
