Gary Neville

What I find amusing is the comments on social media which are anti-Neville. They’re 90% misspelled or are grammatically all over the place. These are the same folk who are patriots, lovers of England and the homogeneous English yet they can’t string three coherent words together. Thick as mince the lot of them.
As for the whole flags up lampposts debate, not a single one has been put up without hate being in the soul of the person putting it up. That’s hate towards boat people, immigrants, foreigners in general and just about anybody who doesn’t fit in with their own agenda. They were put up on the back of Tommy Robinson’s campaign, that’s the National Front in old money. For that matter Neville is 100% bang on with what he says. If anybody can prove otherwise then I’ll stand corrected - but they can’t. It’s out and out nationalism for all the wrong reasons.
How can you say not a single one has been put up without hatred.
I have st George flag up in my front garden.
I have 5 grandchildren 2 of which are Muslims with a Pakistan dad.
I don't have any hatred towards foreigners, immigrants or boat people.
Your options don't portray everybody that puts up a flag.

The fact you’ve not put it up on a lamppost is the first sign.

The difference is forcing the flag onto wider society by putting it on bridges, lamp posts and painting / vandalising road signs. This was a campaign whipped up by extremists and racists. Designed to increase division and fear. People have flown St George / Union flags in their own gardens previous to this and fair enough.

Why have you put one on display?
What's so different now, compared with say 2, or 5 years ago?
Seriously, I'm very interested to know what motivated you to have one up now - assuming that you haven't always had one on display - as you haven't alluded to that.
What message did you intend to send to your grandchildren and their Father?
What message do you think they actually perceive?

Again bluemooners presuming LOL
My first time was the day before our FA cup final 2011 the stadium George had MCFC in each white square.
Every time we go to Wembley or ein the league I put it back up again.
In-between I display a flag with no city reference on it.

Neville’s obviously a dickhead, that’s a given, but not sure anything he said in that video is that outrageous really. Feel like a lot of people who are livid about it maybe haven’t actually watched it all and just gone off social media sound bites.

I just wanted to point out not everyone who flys a flag is a middle aged white moron filled with hatered like a certain poster was claiming.
I think that’s fair enough mate.

Do think also that many of those putting up flags on numerous lampposts and bridges probably have an ulterior motive though.

pertinent quote from Neville

" I've been contributing to development in Manchester for 15 years and have never had a flag put up so why now?"
Can anyone answer why why now?
Across the road from me they put the Yorkshire Flag up 1st August every year. Fine. Every year for the almost 30 years I have lived here they do it. I am from Lancashire I am not offended in fact I am sad both pensioners died last year and it wasn't flown this year.
At the end of my street there is a lovely mixed race girl who lost her mum this year - she parks on the street so there is no space for a ladder on the pavement so today two guys went up a ladder to fix a flag. They could only do it from inside her front garden and her brother - who was visiting - went out and knocked the ladder and the flag shagger down. She is the only black/brown/mixed race person in about a radius for at least half a mile and its clearly intimidation there are people out there who are cunts and can only see a very narrow picture
