I'm very particular when it comes to writing implements, and being left-handed it's very difficult to find one I like.

My current favourites are from Zebra, which is a decent brand. The F-701 has a decent weight to it, and the X-701 is lightweight and has a pressurised refill similar to the Fisher Space Pen, which is ideal for writing on vertical surfaces which is often difficult being an awkward leftie

I once read this (not sure if totally true, but it made me laugh) NASA spent $20 million to develop the Fisher Space pen, the Russians used....... pencils!

Seriously though, I like a nice pen - when I was a younger I had a set of those Rotring drawing pens, but they need so much care and attention. I will enjoy to read this thread as it expands.

Most pens, including the one you have shown us, are ambidextrous.

Here are a few from my own collection. My favourite is my Parker Duofold International Blue Marble Fountain Pen, with a medium 18k gold nib. I've had this for many years, and I use it to fill out official documents such as wedding stationery. I'm a wedding registrar, and I used this to complete the registers when my sons married, in 2018, and my second son in August this year.

I dabble in a spot of calligraphy from time to time too, and I have special pens for this.

If anyone is wondering what to buy me (or the pen lover in your family) for Christmas this year, take a look here. https://tomsstudio.com/.

They have many stylish pens, including calligraphy pens, and some great inks. Sample below.

It's the weight and balance that gets me. Also, the writing angle. It's a tactile thing. I'm also very particular with eating irons, especially cake spanners.

I used to use a left-handed fountain pen with a curved nib to prevent smudging which was alright, but not comfortable to use for long periods. Being left-handed, I also struggle with whiteboards as I usually end up scrubbing off half of what I've written.

Also, if you notice (and I know this is being picky) any pen or pencil that has writing on, the writing is upside down if you hold it in your left hand ;-)

I will say I write like a spider walked through ink in lower case and tend to write in capitals a lot to be clearer, a lot of pens are shite for left handers
