I've always been a bit dubios about the other band members not knowing though. Maybe they didn't...but having been in a touring band myself, you live in such close proximity to other members, living in each other's pockets and joined at the hip. I couldn't imagine my band mates and people around the band close to my bandmates doing something and me not knowing or having a major incling. Certainly not accusing them of knowing details or anything, there's not evidence they did... but I'd be utterly amazed if didn't have any suspicions at all. Lots of his fans knew he liked teenage underage girls, it was no secret around the music scene. He had also been reported for the baby stuff a good while before the arrest from someone who knew the band...so there's no way it was some surprise to them, in my opinion.

They werent friends with him as far as i'm aware. The relationship had broken down and he was staying in different hotels to them. If he'd been a bassist or a drummer they have kicked him out of the band, but as he was the face they had to work around their relationship with him. They knew he was a ****, but they didnt know what he was up to

The other stuff, who knows. My point was he had been reported and the police failed to investigate him. Knowing how close bands are, I just can't imagine they never caught wind of people in their inner circle reporting him. Just seems unlikely but who knows.

But really, what else are they gonna say on podcasts? They can't exactly even admit to knowing he was rather open about being with teenagers, so they're certainly not gonna admit to even having an incling of the other stuff. Let's be real.

Anyway it's still a shame for them though. Their careers destroyed because of his crimes.

I get what you're saying, Fern Cotton went out with him for a while - did she know? Who fuckin knows, he's dead now though, thankfully!

Prison is meant to be for reforming people, rehabilitating them back into society, not this violent free for congrats you made it this far without replying angrily to what is meant to be sarcasm.

From Wikipedia cited article : Watkins' former bandmates claimed they were unaware of his conduct with children, as his drug use had begun to cause heavy strain on his relationship with them. Watkins had requested his own private dressing room away from the other five band members, where much of his abuse of children allegedly took place. Watkins had also chosen to minimize personal contact with most of his bandmates.

I used to think that about the rest of Lostprophets but there's been some recent podcast interviews from some of them and after listening I just genuinely don't think they knew. One of them gave him a hiding for turning up late to a gig once, if they're doing that for something that trivial imagine what they'd have done had they know he was a major nonce.

It ruined most of their lives from what I can gather. They tried to start another band but no one would listen. They got death threats etc. Same as the owner of the record label they were on. One guys actions destroyed a hell of a lot of lives.
 
A baby rapist is as bad as it gets. I remember reading of his case and being especially shocked at apparent plans with a fan to abuse her baby - utterly shocking. I recall a senior police investigator describing him as potentially the most dangerous sex offender he had ever seen, and though I am not a supporter of the death penalty, I am glad he has been killed.

I'd open all the beasts and rapists doors inside their wing at night and let them kill each other. Not sure if this on James Timpson's (Minister of Prisons) to-do list though. I remember Yorkshire Pete got slashed regularly then eventually died with covid.
