Darts 2025

I appreciate he's really really good and far better than the others but by god, it's getting boring.
I've got to the point, and this is me who loves the darts, not really being arsed anymore as it's the same over and over again. I usually love watching the darts over xmas but think I'm going to give it a miss this year.

btw, i'm not a littler fan but that's besides the point. Any casual observer that's started watching is going to get pretty bored with the same person winning over and over again.

He's just a fat rag tw*t.

Humphries has still won the more finals hasn’t he? It’s not as if we’re at Taylor or even for a while MVG levels of dominance just yet.

strange reason to give up a sport.

every sport has a period of dominance from a person or team - Man City/ Djokovavic / Alcarez etc - I personally think it's great and unique when a individual or team can do that in a field that is so strong.

I find it a bit mad how they've changed the image of the game to more clean cut with no alcohol etc for the players and the crowd are behind them wrecked, chanting and booing players, went to one at the MEN once and a fight booted off.

Back in the pissed up days of players on the stage with pints of lager and fags in hand the crowd were deathly silent watching it.

Isn’t it more the players are less boozy nowadays and likely vast majority don’t smoke.

Just saying that when the players were more pissed and smoky the crowds were respectful

Now the players are more "clean cut" the crowd are mental, like don't get me wrong, I joined in, but there could be anything going on up on the stage for most of em.

Phones didn’t exist in them days. Nowadays everyone wants to be seen.

Substitute darts for Football and it’s the same.

Look at golf the other week. It’s getting beyond ridiculous.

On subject, Aspinall hit two 9 darters on the players championship tour round today but got beat in the final by Wattimena.

Littler and Van Gerwen in danger of missing the finals particularly the latter.

I often wonder what drinks are in the bottles on stage. I doubt it’s what is being advertised.

To be fair she looks like another half human half veal who has been locked in her bedroom practicing the arrows all of her life like Littler.
 
The Littler in danger of missing out on the finals of the Players Championship didn’t last long. He won today’s event so qualified now. MVG missed out though as pulled out today and missing the last two. Obviously has a lot going on in his personal life this year.

Announcer John McDonald is retiring after the Worlds along with match referee George Noble. Very familiar faces at all tournaments.
 
European championship starts tomorrow on itv.
Price v Gurney, could be interesting
