Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

That 2nd account is posting some pretty reprehensible stuff itself
Yea possibly not the best example for me to give. I'm not massively up on that account - apologies I was in a bit of a rush

The point I was making still stands mind. This guy is a better account and has scrolled through his feed. Mine seems to be calming a bit now after the onslaught too. Supposedly musk will make his AIO open source in November, but I rpesume that will be bollocks or that there's a catch

Whilst this is a great day for the hostages and their families as well as all the Palestinians who have been released the reality is nothing is going to change unless Israel changes.
By that I mean they as the stronger partner have tried excessive violence to the point where even the US has said stop. Now they need to be conciliatory. They need a government who stops building in the West Bank and returns to the 67 borders. In essence they need to be kinder to the people they have degraded for so long.

None of which is going to happen.

The doctor is being released he’s in poor condition after foreign government negotiations

Wow that's great news if hes being released. Israelis torturing him in prison was expected sadly but I expected them to torture him to death like they tortured Dr. Adnan Al Bursh to death

"The death of a renowned Palestinian orthopedic surgeon after nearly four months in detention was “horrifying”, a UN expert said today, demanding an independent international investigation into the circumstances of his demise."

I don't know for sure but I can have a pretty good guess that israel wont have allowed an independent international investigation, like they havent with the 3 British aid workers they purposely murdered for no reason

Dave smith nailing it again

I was hoping this peace deal might work Robbieh, Trump just greeted the Palestinian president, someone he spoke with for more and longer than any other dignitaries
I hope it does work. Sounds quite positive that he spoke so long with Abbas. Whilst most, of us, think Trump is an appalling individual he might have the skillset required here. He's invested quite a lot of personal capital in this and won't take kindly to Israel fucking it up.

We'll see but I remain sceptical. After all 1000s of Palestinians have lost families, and the majority have been left with no accomodation and have lost all their possessions. There'll be a lot of people who want revenge. And if they take it, Israel will have the excuse to start all over again.

Here's a question.
Good old hamas have released the remaining 20 hostages from around 250 which they originally took.
How many POWs' did the IDF take initially and have ultimately agreed the release of 2,000?
If the %age of hostages/POWs taken to those released is similar for both sides , then the IDF must have taken over 20,000 POWs......

"Bad news, your country is destroyed, and hundreds of thousands of you are dead. Good news, my mates and I will make a packet rebuilding it."

Fucking ghoul

This **** was talking to the other **** Nick Ferrari this morning and said Trump deserved more than one Noble peace price for what he's done. This is the guy who kept denying we weren't sending any weopens over to Israel or parts for the F.35.

We all have views on the personalities, the organisations, the background about and indeed doubts about the future but today and for the next couple of days can we not just be happy that Israeli hostages have been returned, Palestinian hostages have been returned aid is entering Gaza and munitions from either side are silent so at least for a few days be happy

Yes, we can. Rephrased, we can be happy and relieved for all the innocent people caught up in this.

But we can also, at least those who aren't naive in the extreme, see this sham for what it is, and unashamedly call it out.

A day when nobody is blown to bits - from whatever side - is a good day
