By the same token I am sure that I can find you plenty of videos with other clubs' fans, should they all be banned?

This is a report from the court case after the incidents in Amsterdam, all five jailed were not Maccabi fans.

Sefa Ö was found to have given a karate-type kick to one victim, causing him to fall against a moving tram, as well as taking part in several other attacks.

The trial saw video footage appeared to show him kicking and hitting victims on Dam Square, Damrak and Zoutsteeg, and prosecutors said he had played a leading role in violence that had nothing to do with football.

Rachid O, 26, who was given 10 weeks in jail, was found to have taken part in a WhatsApp chat group called Buurthuis2, on which he referred to intended victims as "cowardly" Jews who he would never again get the chance to attack.

More than 900 people were in the group and the court said the chat had been used to pass on information to "commit violence against people of Jewish descent and/or supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv".

Umutcan A, 24, was also found to have kicked one of the victims several times while taking part in an attack with other men and then kicked another fan on the ground. CCTV footage had shown him attacking several Maccabi fans, as well as grabbing one fan by the throat and seizing his football scarf.

He had written in messaging groups about a "Jew hunt" but told the trial he did not harbour hatred towards Jews.

Karanveer S, 26, had already been convicted of assault in 2022 and the court noted that did not deter him from taking part in last month's attacks.

The youngest of the five, Lucas D, 19, was found to have used violence against a police officer and taken part in a separate Snapchat group calling for violence against Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.

Probably, and why should the risk be taken. Some on here complain about resources being stretched, well the likelihood of the Maccabi fans not causing trouble is close to zero. They've got plenty of previous, add in the current climate (regrettable, but inextricable) and you see how the police have arrived at the correct decision.

Let’s get it right. They’ve been banned as the police fear the locals won’t behave and will look to inflict violence on the away fans. There’s no uno reverse, gotcha, etc., to it. There’s a given reason and that’s it.

Disgraceful.

Their fans always chant death to arabs, of course the police fear the locals will not behave, only thing disgraceful is the hysterical response to this as if it's the worst crime ever.
 
I find it an embarrassment on our city to be honest. Where do you draw the line, nasty chants, clubs with hooligans elements in their support? Do me a favour, you can ban half of europe on that basis. It's obvious what it is. If 3000 Tel Aviv fans came to B6, a proportion of them would be scumbags intent on causing trouble, whilst a larger proportion will be football fans simply wanting to watch their team hassle free. It's the latter who would be at risk, by the thousands of thousands of locals who would be intent on picking them off for being from the nation they are from.

This Perry Barr MP can whip the constituents all he wants, him, nor the majority of the community have ever shown any interest in Aston Villa football club to be honest, so it's pretty rich jumping on the bandwagon now of a local sporting club that they've shown no affiliation to bar moaning about the litter it brings to the area every fortnight, which is beyond ironic for anybody that understands the place. Embarrassing shithole cesspit of a place that I unfortunately reside in.

So the Israeli fans turning up and chanting racist slogans towards your neighbours isn't a concern then?

That’s not the main reason why they are being banned though, is it.

When you say ‘cry like fuck if anything happens back to them’ what do you mean by that? The police are worried about possible terrorist attacks, mass disorder and anti semitism. Is that alright to you at basically some nasty chants (not all of their fans either).

By the way Im pretty sure similar threats would be made to other teams from Isreal with no history of violence or hooliganism

A proportion of their supporters will be arseholes that should be arrested should they cross lines. You start claiming an entire fanbase is that by default and you are in dangerous territory. We all know who's at risk in this city and your deluded if you think it's the local community, nobody would be a match for them. They literally chased sky news reporters out of town last year for having the audacity to turn and report.

The police manage to wrap up Leeds Millwall pretty well, just charge the clubs for the extra policing costs.

The game, possibly in the away section. Plenty of fans who are based in the uk have done it for the Napoli game or Poznan game. People who aren’t violent hooligans, most of the time just families.

What’s the issue if they want to attend?

Maybe, just maybe i would think a repeat of what happened in Manchester 2 weeks ago would be a higher concern than any nasty chanting.

All it needs is that 1 person.

If they had intelligence than this was going to happen, in that case, stop away fans 100%

Where did I, or anyone, say that it was every single one of their fans? They've got racist scumbags in their fanbase who will be acting like cunts and looking to kick off with the locals. As you've rightly said, the locals will overwhelm them so the smart move it to ban the away fans for everyone's safety. But I do appreciate there a lot who will relish the excuse to blame this on the Pakistani/Bangladeshi community.

But the nasty chanting can cause tempers to go off and then people get hurt, so surely you understand the logic of wanting to ban the away fans?
