Still have Khusanov and Ait Nouri to come back, plus yet to see the best of Cherki and Marmoush this season.

What was an old, slow and ageing squad all of a sudden looks full of life.

Unsure where we'll end up this season but we've got the building blocks in place again for something special in the future.

Exciting times, can't ask for more right now.

Still not at our best but challenging. Enjoyed the game to see the progress, always thought that Haaland would be the difference.

I thought we were fine first half against a well organised Everton defence. As I thought, they tired 2nd half and we found a bit more space to play our game and really could have had more than the 2 we scored.

Nice cameos from the subs, especially Cherki, and good performances all round, Nunes especially.

Haaland is a magnificent freak. Thank fook he chose city. Rely too much on him but hopefully we start to see cherki and mar getting regular mins.

Defence not great again. You got to remember we have two midfielders playing fb. The cbs seem weaker this season.

Overall a decent game.

Nunes and O’Reilly superb today. Hard to pick which one played better, but the assist was the clincher!

Such a controlled performance after the goals, with a big game on Tuesday.

Rodri who?! ;-) Gonzales has really stepped up this season and is playing the pocket superbly at present.

Wingers frustrating all game.

Erling, Erling, Erling…that last one was BEGGING for an early first time strike on his left, but he dragged it TOWARDS the area Pickford was defending and fluffed his lines again! That said, even though his right foot let him down today (was he going for the perfect hat trick???!!!), the header was MONSTROUS and the early sweep on his left for the second caught them all off guard.

Looking at the starting line up, and the bench, and Rodri & Ait-Nouri & Khusanov not even in the squad, we are going to look fucking strong when everyone is fit and some names are going to realize football is a cut throat, “What have you done for me lately?” game.

BTW, on that performance, I can’t think of a better #10 Left Back in English football and Tuchel needs to give the lad his first ENGLAND CAPS in at least the two remaining games to see if he’s got enough for the WC!

I don’t think we were that bad in the first….certainly created more chances than Everton despite what the BBC report says….definitely a feel good atmosphere at the end with the lap of the pitch by the players and Pep.

all that matters however is the result

Other players need to start weighing in with goals however. We could have been 2 up in the first half if Sav could shoot. He looked more comfortable on the left however.
Nico OReilly was good again and Foden was excellent again. Haaland just does what he does when he gets the chances.
Ake looked shakey in the first half but better in the second and Nunes has made the right back spot his own at least till Khusonov is back
Gonzales looked vey solid as well

Our defence despite keeping a clean sheet still looks frail and too easy to get through. Those simple long balls over the top and long diagonals cause us far too much trouble on a regular basis. - something that other teams have identified as lots of team play those passes against us.

Got the better of their left back 3/4 times in the first half.

Also had more luck against their right back in the second half and grabbed an assist too.

Agree he's a bit too soft and should play to the whistle more, but he was definitely impactful on the game today.

We played well until you scored. Never a pen for us in my opinion, as where neither of the two given against us earlier this season for roughly the same thing.That is what is annoying, the offials read it one way then another.

However, I shall congratulate you for the win.

Goal difference is a good indicator for where we are. Recent title winning seasons have been +60s and 70s, with lowest +51 when rags were second. Last season was +28. We’re on track for +50 again and I think we’re only going to get better.
