When you think we used to have Yaya, De Jong, David Silva, Fernandinho, Gundogan, De Bruyne and Rodri to call on for midfield duties - the current crop are definitely a downgrade.

One of those players was injured for his first season, one of them everyone was convinced was shite for his first season, and one of them was bang average and who everyone remembers fondly because he looked like he might break someone's leg occasionally. So comparing someone who still breaking in and a club legend who has done everything for us seems a bit unfair.
