I thought he was more than decent when he came on. Seemed very assured. Not much to say about the brief performance but good to have him back

Let's not judge him on his 2nd substitute appearance after return from injury. He has multiple games playing fantastically as a 6.Kovacic is just not a 6.
Even against Villareal, we were totally open after Nico went off. We lost all control and they had some good chances. On another day they could have scored a few.
Would rather Reijnders at the 6 in emergencies if needed.
It is what it is.. he's just not a 6.

He is a fantastic central midfielder who plays as a 6 or 8 equally well.
Look forward to him getting back in game shape and showing his class.
Like he gives a feck...have you ever seen his missus? Is it his own hair or a helmet?
Not sure you can blame him personally for a loss of control when he completed 100% of his 35 passesKovacic is just not a 6.

He is great facing up field with the game ahead of him. Hes at his best driving between the lines and shines at that.him in the 6 vs Villa could be grim. I actually like him as an 8 you know, looks for progressive passes and is a good carrier. Its just those aren't great qualities on the edge of your own box
Most of his best games came at the tail end of last season. Rodri was nowhere in sight. He is great facing up field with the game ahead of him. Hes at his best driving between the lines and shines at that.
Poor when facing our goal, doesn’t seem to have awareness of where the opposition are in those cases. Gets disposed easily.
A lot of his best games came early alongside rodri. He compliments a 6 very well. Dont think he suits the single pivot that well.
Pep said he got injured again in his post match conference. Not onthe bench again, has he had a setback ?
From todays newsIt’s calcification in ankle as mentioned by Guadiola. Not sure how long Kova will be out. Pep mentioned “we wait on him for the last part of the season” but when reporter followed up if it means the last month, Pep said no but will be a while without doubt. So, can be three months, another surgery maybe.
Think he'll be gone in the summer. Has fallen down the pecking order, can't stay fit, will be the last chance to get any money for him. I've liked him a fair bit here, more than most, but these injury issues are racking up now.
