26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Different gravy at times. There's so much in his game people don't give him credit for; he was coming into the middle and taking the ball in tight places and moving it on nicely under pressure. Worked hard pressed well and gave 2 full backs the run around. Top class to shuffle and stick the ball right on Bernie's head for the second goal and good play with Rico down the right to set up the first. Looks like he's back up to speed now he's back from injury but big test against Villa up next

I honestly don't understand how people can't see how talented Savinho is. He is fast, has a very good touch, decent football IQ, and works hard. His finishing is not the best and he has some final third issues; these can be solved by coaching for the most part.

There's a player in there somewhere, id pick him over Doku simply because he's more versatile and moves the ball quicker. I like the way he crossed the ball early for Bernardo and didn't think to beat the fullback first, I think that's the best way he can be an asset to the team, early balls into the box, quick one 2s, give and goes, if he concentrates on being a defensively aware winger (Bernardo 22/23) and adds playmaking he'll get a lot of assist and pre-assists, needs to improve his fitness, but he's getting his confidence back.

He’s building his form up week-by-week. Staring to look good now… in the flow.

Next step is to start improving on his finishing.

Over the years, I’ve read about how Frank Lampard and Mo Salah both felt they were poor finishers and would stay behind working on it in training. I hope it’s something Savio does/is doing.

Well time these "coaches" solved these issues.

I'm no more an idiot than you are I'd say. Fucking "player of the match"nonsense, Shows exactly where society is heading.
Couldn't give a toss about the POTM thing that's your problem not mine. I was talking about the coaches in inverted commas solving things ,like we don't have some of best coaches in the game, that have improved many players, but then you don't rate Pep Guardiola or his teams ,that's the idiocy and it goes back years all the while we've been winning trophies ,breaking records.

No sign of Savinihos finishing having improved at all in his time here. Of course Pep is a great coach, his record speaks for itself. Nothing lasts forever though and I still believe he should have left at the end of last Season. Time will tell whether I was wrong in that belief.

I’d say he’s got more natural talent and a better technique than Sterling. Look how he turned out for us! So i think it would be foolish to write Savinho off at his age.
