Media discussion - 2025/26

They'll be doing a Murphy shortly and advocating 'leaving one on him'.
Think the Villarreal centre half tried to rattle Big Erl.
But, very few centre backs can stop him, especially at the moment.
Hope he can carry on being cool-headed, as that is the only thing that can potentially upset his goal-scoring run...

I have this thought in my head that when City Do lose, the staff in most media outlets put on the Benny Hill theme tune Chase each other around like the end of his show. I imagine the dipper and rag fans especially at Media City running around wearing bob hats with the slogan I'm more desperate than you printed on them.

I see the narrative about Haaland has changed in a week.
Gone from being the best goalscorer the Premier League to us being a one man team and him papering over the cracks.
Didn't take long for us to start fucking the media off after they thought we was done.
This was started by Pep in his post match interview last Saturday when he said other players need to score or we will be in trouble.

They definitely do this sort of thing intentionally with us!

You can just imagine the rag and dipper sports staff all sniggering and waiting for the reaction.

Pathetic bunch of tossers!
Of course they do, and we fall for it day-after-day, week-after-week, year-after-year.

They’ll know there are loads of City fans who actively search for their bollocks which gets them the clicks they need, and they’ll know this thread exists and know things get posted on here which gets them the clicks they need.

…they successfully tactically play us like fools because we give them the exposure they require.

But it's true. Our 2nd highest scorer so far this season is Esteve (and he plays for Burnley).
You only have to look at the games we've lost and drawn this season so far. Its not a case of not having chances, those two games plus Monaco we had heaps of chances and certain players need to start putting the ball in the back of the net.

Haaland is immense, but we can't expect him to keep this rate of scoring up and that means we need others to take some of the burden off him.

No it wasn’t, it started before that.
Yes, but any digs at the media have to have a defence thrown up immediately by blueste41. It’s all in City fans heads and we are treated fairly by all regardless of the mountain of evidence that proves otherwise.
Think Bluehammer on the VAR thread is the only similarity in the consistency. Quite impressive really.

He tries so hard to be objective that he loses all objectivity ;)

There were 43 goals scored, five red cards handed out and six penalties awarded - of which five were converted.

It was a relentless evening of Champions League football on Tuesday.

If we look at statistics from the perspective of a goal-per-games average across multiple games, Tuesday night has been bettered only by one other Champions League evening.

That was 11 years ago when, on 21 October 2014, there were 40 goals in eight games (five goals per game).

Sergio Aguero and James Milner found the back of the net for Manchester City in a 2-2 draw against CSKA Moscow - long before the club got their hands on the Champions League trophy.

This is exactly the sort of meaningless ordure that passes for sports journalism these days, horrific.

Going back to the bbc's wank reporting.
I fully expect sky/talkshite to employ wind up merchants to get people watching or phoning in. If I don't like it I can turn it off. But I expect them to report a football score accurately and they do. They are very professional in that department.
Why then, am I subjected to the bbc deliberately falsely reporting football scores ? Further, it is only City's score that is ever wrong. It is called The British Broadcasting Corporation and is meant to be a beacon of truth knowledge and impartiality throughout the world. If it continues to employ childish rags/dippers who giggle at the schoolboy jape it's time someone at City did something.
