Yep, throw another hundred million at it, signing Guehi and Branthwaite and watch the rest of the footballing world sit back and laugh. Minus the BBC and red tops of course
Indeed, selling clubs love a bit of desperation.
Our current position got me thinking about my recent views about how Nuno ES created and got his team to gel at Forest. It was only when I thought more about that did I realise that Maranakis had gone mad in numerous windows and had provided NES with lots of choice.
However, NES still had to sort the wheat from the chaff and produce that team. Interesting to see if Slot can create a real team.......and will that involve upsetting Salah/Isak?

I do hope this death spiral continues so we can sing sacked in the morning back at Admiral Akbar when we're smashing them at home in a couple of weeks time.

One fucking note out of place and they will claim victim blaming, it should have been ten, you lucky bastards it should have been ten will be reported about something referring to Heysel or Hillsborough.

Or the dead chicken in the back alley!!

To be fair you did not get too carried away unlike several dippers I know personally. One insisted with a straight face that they would match or exceed City's four in a row after about three games had been played.
Having such an unbalanced squad after spending so much is crazy and it is notoriously difficult to sign and integrate players in January. If Liverpool are desperate for defenders then they will have to pay through the nose to sign them - particularly if other clubs are in the mix. Could see a record fee for a defender being paid.
By Littlewoods?

They’d never do that, surely?

They did get 4 in a row. United game sealed it

As I said next few weeks could be a disaster, from the image 1 down, 6 more for 10 in a row would be funny as fuck.

Eintracht Frankfurt (A) - CL
Brentford (A)
Crystal Palace (H) - LC
Aston Villa (H)
Real Madrid (H) - CL
Man City (A)
Hard to see them losing at home to Palace and Villa.

They could easily be in big trouble for CL qualification if they lose tonight, though.

There are too may quality players there for a good manager to truly fail, but the problem is that no one at Liverpool - supporters, their many pundits, nor the manager - has tried to dampen down the expectations for this season. When the expectation is that you are going to romp the league - and I recall one pundit saying after 3 games that Liverpool were going to smash City's 100 points record - the failure bar is set as high as runner-up; cups don't really count as the Premier League is the true measure.

Seeing how they struggled against a poor United last Sunday, and the list of tough fixtures coming up, Slot will be worrying to himself. That home loss to the scum after 9 years, following on from 3 other defeats, must have been very damaging confidence-wise. A couple of significant injuries and then, whatever you spend in January, will probably be too late to rescue any dreams of retaining the league title.

How much credit has Slot got in the bank after his summer of playing Supermarket Sweep? Will Saleh and Isak come good? Will Wirtz make things worse? Can Virgil keep doing his "International Rescue" bit indefinitely? I never thought we'd be having this conversation so early in the season after those first 5 games, but, that's football: a funny old game.

Wonder if the green bottle tune could merge into the dead chickens and if we'd be in bother for tragedy chanting?
"Chicken featus in the alley behind Tesco, they will all mourn for you, sixty thousand gobshite Scouse arseholes, not to put to finer points on it, pep had klopp in his back pocket, sixty thousand gobshite Scouse arseholes "

Birdhouse In Your Soul?

They Might Be Giants in England, but they could soon become Crash Test Dummies, if results don’t improve.

Well I guess Wirtz is the new Messi after getting two assists against the German version of 2008 Derby County when the game was over in the first half anyway.

One can hope.

Tough to judge them against that shocking Frankfurt side, Ange's Forest would have beat them.

Just seen an article in which it is obvious that there are special rules for teams that play in red. Liverpool broke the 'multi-ball' rule against the rags but will not be fined. Aston Villa admitted to breaking that rule in five matches last season and got done 125k.

Slot tells journalists that his team can be beat by playing long balls through the middle exposing Van Dick last night and only the hairy handed nonce picks up on it.

If Pep had said last season take a shot and you'll score against us last season it would be plastered all over the sports networks.
