I don’t think people are upset they are just giving the opinion that he’s a know nothing ****. It actually made me feel warm & confident.

I wouldn't expect him to say anything else, he's got form for spouting bollocks. He wrote off De Bruyne and he'll continue to come out with nonsense for as long as he's able to talk. I'm sure he thinks Arsenal are an incredible team. It depends what your metrics are. If you look at recent success in terms of trophies and whether a team has won the Champions League as your metric then City are a top team and Arsenal are not. If, instead, your metric is a team you like and used to play for but choose not to concern yourself with what the club has won in recent memory then you can argue Arsenal are and City aren't. But to do the second you have to be a moron.

There's no need for 'pundits', any of them. When I watch a game on TV I turn it on a couple of minutes before kick off, make a cuppa at half time and turn it off at full time. I also record match of the day and fast forward through all the nonsense. As for Merson he hasn't said anything of any worth all the time he's been on Sky. They only keep him on cause they are scared of what would he would do if they got shut of him.

I saw this today. I’m sick to death of people saying we aren’t that good, where would we be without Haaland etc
1) we’ve won something like 7 of the last 9, that seems good to me
2) The Haaland thing. They never do it the other way around I.e they don’t say if Van Dijk was replaced my Michael Keane, Liverpool will be midtable

We might win the league, we might not. But the clocks haven’t even gone back yet: let’s see where we are in a few months

I’m telling you now, though. If we do win it - Merson will be at the front of the queue telling anyone that will listen how inevitable it was….
 
Merson would have been rightish if he’d added ‘yet’ but the direction of travel is clear: we are heading for the top.
 
The longer we're a bit under the radar the better to be fair.

Facts are that a it stands we're the 2nd best team in the league, that's from this season and also the calendar year - in which Arsenal have one more point than us.

I find 'Stan sports' coverage pretty damn good. Last night they had all games too choose from. At half time they showed all the goals and no studio pundits. Same at full time.
 
I like to rephrase one Johan Cruyff. Like whenever he was brought down he stood up and said to the defender: I know I am that good and you are so limited, the only thing you can do is to try and bring me down.

So the more media and opponents talk about us, the more they look up to us. Merson is simply scared we will do the Arse again.
