Brilliant day, sadly watched from home as I couldn't get a ticket.

The day they realised we were better than them. The previous years cup semi was certainly early doors a case of the not taking chances but this day was different, there's a new kid in town and we're taking over.

I was on for a proper nice return £2 at either 200 or 250/1 for a 1-5 scoreline. Thought I was quids in with 20 secs to go and us with a throw in near our corner flag.....in the blink of an eye I was sliding on the carpet on my knees and it was six.

Bittersweet memories for me..my mum passed away on this date 6 years previous, watched it in a pub full of rags with my daughter who just told me I was to be a grandad for the 1st time...boy was I pissed that day....

I was on holiday in Florida at the time, followed the first half on the bbc website then left for the parks at 1-0. Eldest at uni text me saying it’s finished 6-1. Heart sank thinking we’d got battered. Then she sent another with the scorers, looked like an idiot dancing like a madman in the queue for one of the rides

Great day out, but you get lots of bruises doing the Poznan in seats designed for lower life forms rather than humans.
IIRC it was an early kick-off and the BBC News channel showed the goals in every sports bulletin after about six o'clock.

A major day in my calendar. I enjoy re-reading the furious comments from rags on my Facebook memories. I must have posted about 10 posts after full time that day, and each one got a nibble.

I’m working until 6 today so I’ll put the match on from You Tube around 4 and enjoy every second of it again.
