I wonder if he'll take a risk on Nico knowing Rodri is on his way back. Nico G has been filling that role very well

Bernardo is too slow and lightweight these days to boss a midfield.

I’d go with O’Reilly. Kid is going to be Yaya esque in years to come. Might as well let him loose in this one.

Bernado nipped in fairly quickly to secure the lovely header the other day, and as regards “lightweight” he left his mark on Gabriel in the match against arseanal.
I’m not saying I disagree about Nico, he looks a talent, but Silva is still putting in a good shift.

I'd rather not move O'Reilly from left back until Ait-Nouri fully settles.

Bernardo more than good enough to.do a job at centre mid.

Can’t remember which one, but there was a game earlier this season where we had Kova and Bernardo CM, at home I think (?), where our level of possession and control was fabulous.

It wont have been Kova he's been out all season, only featured last 2 games.

I think Bernardo centre mid for control works, just needs legs around him.

Hopefully Gonzalez is fit but anything to get the 3 points on Sunday will do.

Going into a game with no Defensive midfielder? I've seen this movie before.

Expecting a defeat here; I can't see Nico.G being fit in time.
Best possible alternative is a Bernardo or Kovacic double-pivot with Stones.

Frustrating as I thought we'd win there comfortably with Nico.G and Khusanov.

I think his footwork movement isn’t quick enough for that role he doesn’t protect the ball good enough when he receives it under pressure.. pep knows best and he would of saw him enough in training to see if he could play the 6

I think Reijnders has been a bit hit and miss but has undoubted quality and his most recent performance vs Everton I think was one of his all around best so far...he was far more involved all over the pitch....defensively more importantly as he hasnt looked good at that upto that point. He clearly needs to be a bit better in front of goal as well (going off Peps comments) but i think that will come quite naturally.

Cherki just looks so smooth whenever on the pitch....question over whether he can get upto speed with the intensity he needs to work at need to be answered (but there isnt any reason he cant - its about his application more than anything) - he has undoubted talent though

Reijnders really got the juices flowing after a very impressive game at Wolves, since then he has struggled a bit but he looks a quality player and I'm confident in time he will prove to be a good signing and he will chip in with his fair share of goals.

Although Cherki has had limited game time due to injury he just oozes class and once he gets use to the demands of the PL he will be our main creative outlet and will be feeding Haaland for fun.

A good enough writer to have work published in Nature, PNAS and PCCP journals.
 
If we start with Bernardo then we get over run! If we can manage to get a 1-2 goal lead then he’s perfect to bring on with 20 minutes to go
