Premier League Games | 24/25/26 Oct '25

The thing is, the game is run by the Yank owners of the red filth. In the U S of A they stop the clock in most sports.. so why are they not pushing for that here ?.. Answers on a postcard please folks.
Not many shareholders at any clubs watch the games. They’re only bothered about money, not the football. Most will never have thought about the clock, unless they could get a sponsor for one.

I wasn't even average as a kid but I will always thank my old man to teach me to use both feet as you could always pass or shoot wherever you where on the pitch.
Yeah exactly. My father always made me shoot with my left despite being right footed so I would actually not always refuse to shoot with my weaker foot. Obviously getting it to pro level is harder but still. This are pros in training and they most likely don’t even use that foot there. Players like KDB, Dembele, Pedro, Cazorla always amaze me

That twat Hooper was the referee who was going to wave play on towards the end of one of our home matches (that we were losing) as we were on a break, then suddenly changed his mind.
Spurs 2 years ago when Grealish was clean through

It was mentioned by the commentator that the ref was adding on extra time to extra time due to the lengthy towel-wiping throw-ins.
In the first half?

In which case why was there only 3 minutes initially added...

Both periods were manipulated for the dips and Hooper is a shithouse 'getting an injury'.

However, I'm still shocked that Kavanagh apparently a late replacement for Brookes on VAR (is this suspicious?) gave Brentford that penalty.

Shows how strong the Premier League is and how weak other leagues are, when Chelsea hammer once European giants Ajax 5-1, then get convincingly beaten at home by newly promoted Sunderland. And Liverpool hammer the 3rd placed Bundesliga team from last season Frankfurt away 1-5, then get convincingly beaten by bottom half Brentford.

That’s a good thing. Throw-ins should have a countdown clock of 10 or 15 seconds. Some are taking as long as 40 seconds this season, the game is increasingly becoming just a load of blokes stood still on a strip of grass.

Here we gooooo, dippers lost 4 in a rowwwwww.Take it dippers.

You telling me there would have been 11 minutes of injury time in that very ordinary game had the dippers been winning? There would have been a standard 3 if they wasnt searching for a goal.

What the fuck was Ajer doing for the dippers second? Im not suggesting it actually was, but that didnt half look like he just deliberately stood there and gave them the ball. Very odd.
Fast asleep.

Waiting for throw-ins, goal kicks, free kicks, feigning injury, goalkeeper with the ball in his hands and 20 minutes of football.

Liverpool FC and Uniturd get every favour going from officials and still can't win. This is corruption. No other word for it. It has always been dodgy but none more so than now. Well done to Brentford who thoroughly deserved to win.

Apart from the incredibly soft penalty given to Brentford, you mean?

Liverpool could easily have been given a penalty yesterday and could easily have had the one given against them kept as a free kick outside the box.

Did we get that many minutes put on down there when we beat them, I can't honestly remember.
But I can remember O'Reilly getting a booking for taking too long with a throw in.
Oh the irony

Bizarrely there was more added time awarded in relation to the added time
period in the first half than the first half proper. Make it make sense!

I don’t think a full stop start clock is a better way forward as there are too many stoppages. I would favour a clock that stops for injuries and goals though. The rest of the things (throw ins corners goal kicks free kicks) need to be taken within 15 seconds or the ball is turned over to the other team. A clock is shown in the ground and the 4th official stops and starts it

I agree they are reffed totally different to the rest of the league. But if it was plain corruption it would have been easy to point to the spot for the Gakpo incident.
