Both teams were poor. Villa created nothing apart from a couple of set pieces. The quality of football from both sides was very low with relentless misplaced passes.

I said the same to my dad this morning. Was poor all round. Thought the goal was a good finish but the commentators went on like it was the greatest goal of all time

The BBC player ratings are determined by its readers, and hardly any City fans bother with them these days so not very likely to get an unbiased assessment

I presume Henry Winter had been positive about City - which they countered with a text from a listener saying nothing City have done should be applauded - 115 - cheating etc. Custis finished by saying “City APPARENTLY claim they are innocent”
