I love political cartoons. One of the best cartoonists was David Low who drew for the London Evening Standard and the Manchester Guardian from the 1920s to the '60s. He was a steadfast opponent of dictators and authoritarian rule and especially attacked Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin. His mockery so angered Hitler that when the invasion of Britain was being planned he had Low on a list of people to be shot in the first week of Nazi occupation.

But note that Hitler hated Low not because his cartoons made him look evil but because they made him look foolish. This cartoon makes Trump look evil - and it's right.

Democrat leaders Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer went to the W.H. today to talk to the president about the government shut-down and the current threat to millions of people's health insurance. Did they have a meaningful conversation under the golden glow of the Oval Office's recent redecoration? No, DT enjoyed taunting them by handing them two "Trump 2028" hats.

It's a shame they didn't preempt this by having a copy of the US constitution to hand to him and telling him to read the 22nd Amendment.

Democrats wont get anywhere with those two at the head of each branch. Both have no charisma and are doing fuck all and letting the republicans write the narrative and pin the shut down on the democrats.

Their policy of letting republicans own their mess might work if they actually pointed it out instead of sitting in silence.
