You should try watching the new Sptting Image on YouTube . It's so scurrilous it's brilliant.
 
President Pettiness strikes again.

The Commission of Fine Arts are the body to review the ballroom and the ridiculous arch. So the entire Commission has been fired (according to WaPo).

Presumably the replacement commissioners will be Trump, Kirk, Loomer, Lindell... or as a White House rep told NBC "preparing to appoint a new slate of members to the commission that are more aligned with President Trump’s America First Policies”.

Kids doing GCSE/A-level History often have to analyse cartoons of the period because they are such a rich source.

And yes, the one TFH posted was wonderfully succinct.

I mean, probably not Kirk, but I hear Mike Flynn is looking for a job, and also the Jan 6 MAGA shaman Jacob Chansley.

Do you think he might step aside BEFORE two years, let Vance be a placeholder for him, and then seek office again in 2028?

The exact text of the Twenty-Second Amendment to the United States Constitution as ratified is:
Section 1:
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Might they try to say that ANYONE can have two full terms, as long as they didn’t serve more than two years of a term prior to seeking a second full term???

With THEIR SCOTUS, who knows???

They’ll argue, what’s the difference between taking over and serving less that 2 years THEN having two full terms and having one term, doing less than 2 yrs of a second term, then seeking a full second term?

He could claim an illness that requires convalescence, with Rubio stepping into the VP role for Vance, then shuffling everyone back into position in Jan 2029! Vance could only be a 1 term President starting in 2032, if that happened, but he might be fine with that!
