Sheffield Wednesday on the brink… | Enter administration (p30)

This is a video of the above message, fair play to the scoreboard operator and all the backroom staff at the club, can't have been easy these last few years, especially as their wages have been late 5 out of the last 7 months too.

As has been said this season isn't about football, the squad just isn't good enough for this level of football, we'll give it a go but unfortunately it is too much for us.

When we belted out Hi Ho Sheffield Wednesday just before kick off yesterday I'm not gonna lie I choked up, even though we have no idea what's to follow it felt like a relief.

1st half we were poor and Oxford were deservedly winning, they pressed us well and acted on our mistakes 0-2 flattered us.

2nd half we came out and gave it a go, pulled one back and probably should have got something out of the game, on that 2nd 45 if I was an Oxford fan I'd be worried that they'll be joining us in League 1 next season.

Regarding the embargoes my understanding is even with new owners the "No fees including loans" ones will stay until 2027, but If all debts are cleared with new ownership the abilitly to sign free agents can be removed. If we can get this then that will give us some much needed squad depth which we desperately need.

I moved from Cambridge to Hillsborough during COVID to live close to our lads (one in Sheff, one in Manc) and the wonderful pubs.

Everyone we've met in Sheffield has been great, Owl or Blade, be great to see this as the start of a revival like the one Sheffield city centre is seeing.

The company that owns Hillsborough, which is separate from the club, has also been put into administration by Chansiri. It’s the same administrators looking after both companies so they should be sold off as one. Which is good news for all Owls.
I wouldn’t be so sure that logic is correct. Administrators will sell off assets if they have to. Hopefully they’ll find a way to restructure the club so they don’t need to consider that though.

There is no point owning Hillsborough if it's not to be used by Wednesday. Knocking it down for housing would simply lead to fires on the building site on a weekly basis once construction began.
