Fixtures Calendar - 2025/26

No direct Avanti London trains into Manchester for the Chelsea match - looks like a Rail Replacement bus for part of the journey.. it was only 2 Seasons ago that they announced the cancellation of the only train match goers could get back the day before the game .. seems to often be more problems on the Chelsea fixture day…

Pissed off they've moved the Chelsea game, I go away on the 4th so that's another game I'll miss, gutted.

Looks the same as ours, and pretty much everyone else unless I'm missing something
No, they have 3 home games and 1 away game at Bournemouth a 2 hr journey.
With a 3 day break, then a 4 day break, then a 5 day break between the Bournemouth away game and the Liverpool home game.

We on the other hand have 2 away games (Forest 2hr journey, Sunderland 3hr journey) and 2 home games, spread over 4 days, 3 days, 3 days.

Also between the Sunderland and our home games against Chelsea we won’t actually have 3 days as the Sunderland KO is at 20:00, and the Chelsea KO is at 17:30. Chelsea have a nice 5 day break before the play us!

The only bias in the Xmas fixtures is towards sky making money.
Yes, after many years of trying I reckon the PL and Sky etc have finally knocked the heart and soul out of football as far as match going fans are concerned. Only one fixture on Boxing Day is a complete sell-out IMHO.
As for us Blues, we've been well and truly shafted with the Sunderland & Chelsea KO times. I'm getting more and more disillusioned season by season and I don't think I'm alone in that.

The players will fly to Sunderland so won’t make much of a difference to them.

January that time of year no direct services for Chelsea and Brighton games at least from Scotland
On the West Coast line Jan 1 -14 they are replacing Clifton bridge near Penrith, trains will diverted via the Settle to Carlisle line (very scenic viaduct) but presumably take longer. Also work being done north of Carlisle so replacement bus from Carlisle to Lockerbie and further works at Preston may cause disruption.
So don't think I will be taking the train from Glasgow for either of these matches.
Chelsea match time a real pain. Waiting to see if Megabus are running their usual Sunday night 2020 bus back to Glasgow gets in 0020 Monday morning.

We’re our own worst enemy. We can all whinge, moan etc but whilst we all turn up, fuck all will change.
