Everybody thought liverpool were going to run away with it after 5 games - things change.

I didn't. Many others didn't. They were winning games dodgily, dubiously, and it was there in plain sight. For a while, the luck ran with them. The Arsenal scenario is a very different one. They are fully worth their lead, nobody else is even vaguely as consistent, especially in defence. They last conceded a goal, in all competitions, at the end of September!
I'm not throwing in any towel, mind, certainly not right at the beginning of November. Things can indeed change. I don't see much indication of it at present, but we'll see…
