Students Living In Bedsits?

I am so shocked... are these mostly owned by the Sheikh? I'd write to my MP if he wasn't such a useless money-grubbing ****

Cry me a river. This is how I spent my 20s. I worked hard and saved up for a deposit to get a house which I've enjoyed living in for the past 7 years.
A house ! Luxury. I lived in a shoe box but it were a house to me.

(Are Monty Python sketches the most quoted on here ? Not even Airplane with 'don't call me Shirley' surely doesn't come close)

Called studio flats aren't they? as long as they are clean what's the problem. Still use them now when I work away

Lived in a bedsit in Sale when I left home aged 20.
Victorian house done up into 3 flats and one bedsit. Waited for 4 years for one of those in an apartment to move out so I could move into an apartment, and finally did and the fucker sold up giving us 6 months notice!
$19 a week back in 1984

There were loads of them on Barlow Moor Rd, I got my first bedsit (Without swimming bath and en suite) in around 75 and it cost £8.50 a week :)

Students with cars. CARS! (Caps lock courtesy of Daily Fail.) Now there's a thing. Not bangers either. Quite a few round my way- Withington/West Didsbury. One of them, and I know they're student houses, has a private plate! Admittedly, it's a Polo but WTF? At least they do the local economy good. Lol.
