Students Living In Bedsits?

Bedsits .. they were pretty common in the 70s. Fist mate of mine moved out of his family home to a bedsit in Clyde Road.. It was a bit of a shithole. There was loads of them in West Didsbury.

Ditto. Still live there, mate. Still cool although, sadly, much gentrified over the last 25 years. It was always safe- never rough. Not as bohemian nowadays. My old fella used to play Jazz at the Mid on Sundays. It was a great place to grow up. He knew the Buller's mum. I knew Fonzo, to let onto, until he moved away. The Old Moat was sound back then. Oh, and it's West Didsbury. It matters, Lol.

Bedsits were called bedsits for a reason mate, nowadays they want a swimming pool and an en fucking suite :)

Not sure about a pool and an en-suite but if space is at a premium, if I could be transposed back to my student days, with the right flat mates, I would have settled for a hot tub to perform both functions.
