Train guards are trained in security. We are briefed on handling what we call MTA's (Marauding Terrorist Attacks), and Issued with Body worn cameras. Identifying potential bombs/shady fuckers etc.

For the record the majority of train incidents are treated as MTAs until BTP downgrade them.

Travel safe officers are also on some train on Saturday nights within the company I work for.

As I've said previously. Saturday night services are a regular flashpoint for incidents because people are pissed/drugged up. However they aren't as severe as this one hence the reporting.

But yeah. We all greedy lazy bastards according to the RW media.

Agreed. I have been on automated trains driven by robots abroad but they all had security guards. As I said I think the guard role should be upgraded not scrapped.

I can't be alone in thinking classing this awful incident as non terror related is actually worse than if it had been.

If this is supposedly "normal" people attacking anyone with huge knives for no fucking reason then that is "terrifying"
