Not buying that this isn't terror related, two attackers means there is much more at play here imo.
It might stop racists from trying to set fire to asylum seekers in hotels again? What does being a British national prove or not prove?
Wasn’t the guy who blew up the Manchester arena a British national? The 7/7 bombers and plenty more.
No I was just pointing out that there are other explanations. Rather like the young kids who have in the past few days stabbed their contemporaries, the stabbing in Manchester City centre.Wtf!!
When was the last time football hooligans stabbed over 10 people on a fucking train. Or anywhere else in the UK for that matter.
That is some wierd mental gymnastics to say it was more likely to be that than terrorism. You had your head in the sand for 20 years?
Where did you read that ? Do you have any proof? I always read shit like this but the only reference I ever get is a Facebook postThe world is a mess mate but I only at this stage give a fuck about my kids future and safety. It’s even infiltrating the Isle of Man currently and the latest battle was that to avoid upsetting a certain demographic that the hospital over here may not put up a Christmas tree this year? So yet again what we have done for years has to change? Why?
Strangely, that was one of the first thing I looked at when I heard the train started at Doncaster, headed for London, but Doncaster were away at Crewe, so it seemed unlikely to be football related. This is a terrible incident but I freely admit that my first thought (based on the time I heard the news) was which football team play in that area!! Why immediately jump to the conclusion that it is terrorist rather than random or a load of football hooligans returning from a match?
Wait until it has been investigated and see what the authorities say not social media.
JMHO
Its pathetic isnt it?Seen it already. Posts on Facebook saying the statement is a lie, and they are saying they are British so not to have people rioting. That’s Karen, from Facebook as opposed to the transport police guy giving out facts earlier.
There are a lot of disappointed people choosing not to believe the statement.
Wtf!!

Because some are wishing it is who they want it to be. It may well turn out in the end it’s terror related. But as things stand it isn’t. If it is I hold my hands up but currently it isn’t.This is a terrible incident but I freely admit that my first thought (based on the time I heard the news) was which football team play in that area!! in less than 24 hours they've stated their age, nationality and place of birth. It won't happen but people should just leave them the fuck alone to actually do their job and get to the bottom of it now.Like the triple stabbings/murder in the street earlier this week, the Police identified the perpetrator early and said they did so to avoid speculation that may cause anything distress and mistrust to something more serious.
Similarly, with the Crumpsall synagogue stabbings. They took some time while they sorted out the potential bomb situation and how the victims were, but came out and identified him and his motives on the following day.
I thought that was handled better than when the Police didn’t identify the Southport child killer and speculation in the vacuum of information ended up with misinformation and riots.
I wonder which the Police will choose to do here?
Thank you @cleavers. It was just the timing and I guess I’m too ancient to immediately jump to terrorism. I’ve not become inured to today’s society. I’m still (trying) to think well of the world or maybe reverting to the old days. :-) :-(Strangely, that was one of the first thing I looked at when I heard the train started at Doncaster, headed for London, but Doncaster were away at Crewe, so it seemed unlikely to be football related.
Because there aren’t that many serious football hooligan incidents in England these days, never mind any involving stabbings. I think I can remember three stabbing incidents around English football games in about a decade. This is a terrible incident but I freely admit that my first thought (based on the time I heard the news) was which football team play in that area!! Lies, damn lies and statistics.Any rational human being is entitled to, and should apply their own experience and knowledge to question government statistics, especially when that experience is relevant and worthwhile.
The slavish acceptance of statistics as facts is a very dangerous and naive state of mind to occupy.
I guess I can but it is not the way I think because I guess I look through rose-tinted glasses and want the world to be perfect!! Vain hope.Because there aren’t that many serious football hooligan incidents in England these days, never mind any involving stabbings. I think I can remember three stabbing incidents around English football games in about a decade.
Terrorist attacks almost tripled in number from the decade of 2000-2009 to the decade of 2010-2019, with 925 terrorist incidents in the UK last decade and there have been 130 so far in the 2020s.

While their incidence does seem to have decreased again this decade so far, you can see why people automatically think it when incidents like this occur.
Like the conspiracy nuts, there’s no winning your point with them. Their minds are made up and it doesn’t matter what you say to them or what they hear in the news, their minds are set.Its pathetic isnt it?
Nothing decent about them imho.BTP statement
2 British born males in custody.
1 Black British national
1 British of Caribbean decent.
What does describing someone of "Caribbean decent" mean?
Does the person not consider themselves to be Black, White, Mixed Race or whatever?
Of course there could be other explanations, it could easily be drug/gang related, where 2 rival gangs have come together in a train carriage. No I was just pointing out that there are other explanations. Rather like the young kids who have in the past few days stabbed their contemporaries, the stabbing in Manchester City centre.
Plus at the time I heard that news item there weren’t 10 people who had been stabbed.
I have definitely not had my head buried in the sand although I wish some days I was on a desert island completely alone!!
Sorry to offend you with another opinion/observation. :-)
Don’t disagree, I wouldn’t lose a seconds sleep if they got a bullet in the head after they’ve been questioned. The terrorism definition is ridiculous.
The act of attacking multiple defenseless and trapped people on a train in such a savage way is nothing else other than terrorising.
The fact that they say this isn't terrorism, does nothing but downplay the incident.
To the point where snowflakes as witnessed on this thread are celebrating that its not deemed as terrorism.
Ive just seen a quote from that BTP officer... "nothing to suggest terror incident"
I don't give a shit whether there were racial, religious or political motivations, what happened last night to those victims and even others on that train that witnessed it, is nothing other than a terror incident.
Behave. No-one is celebrating anything. The terrorism definition is ridiculous.

Weren't the pair of cunts that decapitated Lee Rigby British citizens as wellYou’d have to ask Karen and her ilk.
The statement said they were both born in the UK.
