33 | Nico O'Reilly - 2025/26

Can just hear the media Hyenas turning his form into a negative by highlighting the fact that we have an expensive LB who can't get in the team (RA-N)

RAN wasn't expensive (£30m) and no one in the media is going to be upset about an English kid playing well in a world cup year.

Great again, we have to use him carefully though, like we did with Phil. He's different to Phil, he has power at a young age, Phil needed to grow strength, he actually adds a lot to our team that we've lacked over the years.

If he stays fit he will become a beast, not sure it will be at LB, but he's doing very well there.

The sky is the limit for this lad. So at home in this side, and has the confidence to know he belongs in the first team. Well taken goal.

Quit with your sensible reasoning.
You're underestimating the likelihood of City haters hating.
Was (foolishly) listening to Duncan Castles talking to "respected journalist" Jonathan Norcroft last week and they were in agreement that we're a one man team and our recruitment since Haaland has been an expensive disaster and none of our recent recruits will make the grade at a top team.
Some of them do look short of the required standard at the moment but their youth and some injuries have held a few of them back.

The no-nothings, so what about Nico, Cherki, Dona and then the real potential of Reiss, Khus, Bah etc..?

Them saying that actually gives me more confidence that we'll be just fine.

This is the level academy players need to reach. Fantastic footballer.
If we bring through one every few years like we have Foden, then Palmer, then O’Reilly we’ll be doing very well.
This is an extremely high standard of football we play at so to be good enough to play for us, we are bringing through some proper talent.

I’m still expecting Lewis to be a high quality staple in the team by the time he’s in his prime n’all. But O’Reilly already looks like he could be a world class left back and he wasn’t even in the team at the turn of this year. How far he could go in quality is exciting!

Imagine if we ever bring through a crop of them all at the same time like an Ajax or Barcelona have done…

He's going to be a top quality player, still only 21 but plays beyond his years. Great attacking threat today as well
For 21, he’s a right unit! He’s already barging people’s chest with his shoulder when the ball goes dead and as if to say ‘don’t fuck about with me sunshine’. Seen it a few times now, made me like him even more.

Very good again. The one thing kids tend to lack is consistency, he's showing it, being solid and reliable at his age and in this stage of his development as a left back is the most impressive thing about him. He could be England's starting left back at the world cup if this form continues. There hasnt been a better performer this season, livramento is out for a while, Lewis-skelly can't get a game for Arsenal, it's his for the taking.

He could chip in with a dozen goals from left back if he sharpens up his finishing, great save from the keeper in fairness but shouldnt have given him a chance really if we are being critical.

Superb. We needed a LB before the season, but now it looks like the natural LB we bought might face issues dislodging him.
