Huntingdon Train Incident - Reports of multiple stabbings

Englands far more over crowded than Belgium I’m afraid, admittedly we could pack out Scotland and Wales yet. We are over populated and underfunded if everyone paid their dues we wouldn’t be underfunded seems like nobody likes paying though except us mugs.
Just a quick look and the Dutch and the Belgians pay more tax. That’s probably why their public services appear better funded.

Out of interest why are you dismissing this without argument ? Only playing devil's advocate as holidaying on the continent in the summer and driving through France, Belgium, Netherlands I was struck how so relatively underpopulated they were compared to the UK. Didn't get into any heavy traffic all the time I was there, shopping in supermarkets was so stress free, no packed aisles. Trains were quiet, could always get a seat even at rush hour. Don't you think it's a reasonable thing to question, as a small island with limited space for expansion of infrastructure, can we realistically sustain net immigration to the tune of the population size of Liverpool ( thankfully not scousers), every year ?
I was mainly dismissing the assertion that the UK was akin to a third world country.
As for 'limited space', Sandringham estate, that private place owned by the royals, is the size of Nottingham.

Thankfully there was a guard on this particular train public safety should always come first, he has worked for 20years on LNER still in hospital critical but stable such a brave man, his family and friends will rightfully be proud of him saving the lives of passengers

Greater Manchester has reintroduced guards on buses as crime and violent behaviour soared on particular routes to record highs.

It was always a ludicrous proposal that there would not be a guard on a train for safety, incredulous that anybody would think that was a good idea.
As for guards on buses, I haven't seen any yet.
It always amazes me that in the daytime metrolink trams and stations can be flooded with ticket inspectors and travel safe officers, but at night when they are needed you hardly see any.

Security guards on buses from the M.E.N. From 2013 so plenty of time to reintroduce guards on problem routes.

“GUARDS will protect passengers from thugs on a trouble-hit bus service. It will be the first time they have been used on buses in Greater Manchester. They are being introduced as violence and anti-social behaviour on buses in the region soar to record levels.”

It must be on selected trouble hit services it’s essential the public are protected on buses and trains, originally all buses and trains had a guard and driver, not any more it’s now in favour of profit.

'far more'? you sure?

what if we don't count London as well as ruling out Wales and Scotland

Even if on 'systems' it remains as Huntingdon, the signage at the station could be redone as Huntingdon-Zitouni or something, subject to the appropriate due-diligence of course.

We have enough everyday reminders of the scumbags in the world, would be good to have an everyday reminder and example of someone acting completely selflessly.

England is a bit more crowded that Belgium, but not that much to be honest. about 12% more.

Belgium = 990 people per square mile.
England = 1120 people per square mile.
UK over all = 720 people per square mile.

Holland is 1400+

Hold on....from 2013, twelve years ago? I don't drive so catch plenty of buses and so far haven't seen one guard on any of them.
Conductor's were a good deterrent. Also if there was any mither at least you had a driver and conductor to back you up, so evening the odds up.

Never stopped us cunts wrecking specials in the 70's. No seats or bulbs.

Belgium 385 km2 England 450, England being the country I live in is of interest and last time I looked London was still a part. If we didn’t leech off the rest of the world how many people could we support.

The GoFundMe page for Sam and his family should anyone be interested in contributing...

Go fund me? He won’t have medical expenses and his wages will be covered by his company who he can claim insurance off too. The bloke is a hero, but the reasons given for the go fund me aren’t needed.

Maybe it's for loss of overtime he'll miss out on or folk want to send him on a holiday with his family. Are you really begrudging this guy who has undoubtedly saved lives a few grand being raised for him?

Not at all, just questioning the reasons listed for the funding . It’s already covered.
Had it said we want the money to send on a holiday to recuperate I’d go along with it no problem.

At the very least, a massive pay rise.

And they’ve invited him to fly with the team to a European game and a complimentary season ticket next season so definitely fair play to them
I’ve seen these things set up for absolute nonsense and people get life changing money as a result - nonsense.

This though, and the employee are totally justified.
