Now you’re telling me two things. Firstly around my analysis that there is distinction between facts and statistics: that evaluation is ultimately a matter of perception, between what is a fact and what is a statistic. I can live with that because it’s a philosophical point.
But you are also suggesting that my previous personal experience is worthless. Because you haven’t acknowledged it. So therefore it is worthless to you.
Not arsed what you think of me, but I know about knife crime. I know, because sadly, and indirectly, I make good money out of it. If you knew precisely what I actually did for a living you’d understand why.
Hate those jobs. Horrible from start to finish.
Good money? Absolutely. And I know I’m better placed than anyone to deal with it, but I absolutely don’t enjoy them.
So I’d honestly prefer less of that work.
And in my personal experience, over the last half decade, knife crime is definitely up. And possession of knives is definitely more prevalent.
