Match discussion - Everton (A) - Sunday 9 November K.O. 14:30

Not seen anything of today as i was in the car/at the men's game but, apart from the second half v Spurs everytime I watch them they seem less coordinated and worse..... however top of the league so maybe it's me.
No. It's not you.

We started the match really well. For the first 20 minutes or so we played Everton off the park and Shaw missed a sitter after about two or three minutes. We relaxed too much after that and allowed Everton to play themselves in. Thought Hasegawa had one of her quietest games in a City shirt. A good header by Shaw but she has to improve or spend some time on the subs bench, she can't continue to miss those chances because they could be crucial. Thought Casparij had another good game. In the first five minutes alone she sent three beautiful passes down the right side of the pitch behind the Everton full back. She is becoming an important player for us. City, City, top of the league.

Shout out to City Women - they didn't shit themselves and did the necessary and got the result.

Haven't watched it yet but will on catch-up at some point. Great win - now stuff that horrible lot next week please.

The City Manager looks like Stuart Pierce's love child who has been smoking 100 Woodbines a day for 20 years

No axe to grind about Taylor. Not watched us under the new manager, was a genuine question
Personally I think the style of football is better. More direct and with purpose not just passing for passing's sake. We're creating more chances, just not takng enough of them. Had injuries to deal with too but that has led to Beney playing more than she probably would have and she's been a real plus for the most part.

Yeah, I think the injuries have impacted us more than we sometimes realise, yet we're still top :-)
Thought Knaak had one of her worst games for us yesterday, but then remembered it was her first start of the season. She'll get better with match fitness and it doesn't help that Alex is out too. Lohmann and Clinton being out recently means Yui and LBB have been overplayed a bit and I think that was obvious in their performances yesterday. Great to have them back, and of course Hempo too.
Just need to find Viv and Bunny some new 'shooting' boots and we're golden :-)
