He’s scored 3 goals in 8 games against them. 2 goals in 6 games against them for City. 1 PL goal in 4 PL games against them for us.

And he never makes any faint to disguise it and make the keeper dive early, it's too predictable, best striker in the world at everything except pens, this will sound surprising but I think Nunes could be given a chance to take them, he's scored a few cracking pens for us.

Hopefully the goal after keeps his confidence high.

He's scored 17 of 20. Maybe it's the high pressure scenarios, see palace last year where it becomes an issue.
 
Difficult to criticise our Erl,
but nowadays you roll the penalty in the free corner - after the keeper has moved!

Keeper was already in the right corner when Erl sent it there...

Erling has to make the last step a bit slower, to look at the keeper.
He really has to adapt.
 
Good mentality from him to score (not sure he actually meant it, mind) after missing a penalty.

Never confident when he steps up to take a penalty, though, which is odd.
 
He’s gotta start mixing up his pens. He’s very good at hitting either corner but if the keeper guesses right it’s a save. Hit a few down the middle or in the air.

What a header though!

Reminiscent of Duncan Ferguson with that leap and placement from distance.

Think he went for placement rather than power.

If he smashes that.. no way the keeper stops it. He has seething venom in his shots!
 
Hate those stupid international breaks

They have to play against Estonia and Italy
Winning against Estonia they are already qualified for the World Cup

Weirdly always felt he was going to miss. Actually thought it was a lot poorer pen from behind the goal. Replays suggest it was a decent save actually but I always want my penalty takers to be smashing them into the corner, take the keeper out of the equation, it's either going in or it's missing the target, I'd take the odd missed target as a consequence.

Led the line well. Battled all game and occupied both centre halfs at all times which gave Bradley no backup against Doku. Great again at defensive set pieces and was always on his mark for the role of cutting off supply to VVD off the ball. Proper shift despite very little service. Looked a bit tired was surprised marmoush replaced doku and not him.

With marmoush buggering off to afcon in a month or so. The next few games after the international arent the easiest but might have to see Haaland start on yhr bench for one or two of them. Keep him fresh and get some use from marmoush before we lose him until end of January.
