Yeah, looking at the Silva clip MOTD keep showing in comparison Silva ducks to the side and is also moving out of the way proactively as the header is made rather than reactively as Robertson does when he realises it's coming towards him.

I think the fundamental difference is where the ball is going.

Had Stones’ header gone in in the other corner, Bernardo would have been deemed offside.

Had VVD header gone to the other side of the goal, then Robertson would have been onside.

It’s an imperfect law, but it’s very hard to write a perfect one.

Re the offside. The media saying it should have been a goal.

For me surely the gk doesnt know whether Robertson will try and touch it, it head it in the other corner.

As for the Bernardo comparison, he had ducked before Stones headed it, not to avoid touching it.

Doku deserves that goal he was unplayable at times.
