Media still banging on about that offside decision. They're even talking about a need to change the LOTG. Just because the decision went against those twats. The other way around and it would have been swept under the carpet by yesterday morning.

Yep they’d be arguing the other way if we scored that goal and got disallowed they’d be all saying right decision they’ll be point out the player pulling the goalie before standing in the way! One thing with Liverpool is there PR they know they won’t get anything from the letter to PGMOL it’s about Narrative that will last for days now with no games the hard done by narrative the oh Man City got away with another one the city paying referees off from social media! Our PR is say nought ever

Just how many LOTG have been changed after City have benefitted? I can think of goal v Villa but I’m sure there’s more.

The dippers and their promoters (the media) can't except the officials made a decision as per the rule book.
This noise is just a ploy, and an age old tested method by clubs of the cartel to put future pressure on officials involved in their games, not to go against them when making close decisions

It was not as horrific a decision as they are trying to make out, but they are trying to mask the fact that, considering they have broken the transfer record twice and spent the most ever in a transfer window, they are putting up one of the worst title defences in recent history (however they will never beat our record of 1938)

Robertson might not have been in Donnarumma's eyeline, but he could have impacted the direction of the ball and had to duck out of the way. Therefore he impacted the GK decision making from an offside position. As the on field decision was not a goal, it was not a clear and obvious error to overturn and award the goal
Bernado's last year was completely different, on-field it was given as a goal, he wasn't in the GKs eyeline and he couldn't affect the ball and impact the GK decision making. Again not a clear and obvious error

But the MSM are just following and reacting to the noise across Social media

Lets hope they don't get the premier league to open an investigation into our finances, who knows they may possibly discover over a hundred examples of us cheating on them as well.

We need to compile a full list of the shit decisions we've had against Liverpool and get someone like Mike Keegan or Simon Bajkowski to give it some traction.

I've listed some off the top of my head and suggested by other posters:
  • Alf Grey disallowing Kevin Reeves' goal for no discernible reason.
  • The handball penalty awarded against Micah Richard's in the League Cup semi-final when it bounced up off his knee.
  • The two penalties not given in the 2014 game at Anfield, one for a foul on Dzeko and the Skrtel handball that wasn't spotted.
  • The three offside decisions in the first leg of the CL quarter final.
  • The disallowed goal in the second leg when offside was given but Milner clearly played the ball last.
  • The failure to issue a second yellow to
    • Suarez, who was penalised for simulation when already on a yellow but didn't get a second.
    • Milner, who was on a yellow and committed at least one, and probably two, further bookable offences
  • The mysterious malfunction of VAR when Salah scored and was seemingly offside.
  • The Trent handball not given.
  • The disallowed goal for the slightest touch on Alisson.
  • The Foden goal disallowed for a foul by Haaland a couple of phases earlier.
What else have I missed?

I’d be very surprised if anyone would investigate these. They’re not allowed by their employers (unless the issues affected the red shirts )

Remember when someone snipered Salah from the top of Liver Building when we dicked them 4-1 during covid. Absolute blatant cheating on display, because of the score it was forgotten about.

Decision goes against Redshirts, cue wholesale campaign for laws of the sport to be changed...
How the feck is Chris Foy suddenly elevated to the arbiter of the national sport ?
The headline in his article in today's Guardian is that he would have preferred the LFC goal to have been given.
WHY ?
Surely he must be asked if he agreed with the decision, why did he want the other outcome and the goal given ?
I cannot remember any ex-referees giving a preference in a newspaper article to a decision given by an official ?
This farce has now become a national inquest because the media are shit scared of LFC...

If the attacker is the last man near the keeper then flag them offside. No need then for subjectivity about being in the keeper’s eyeline or affecting the play.
Why they make it so complicated is beyond me.

Me neither. I referenced it earlier today on a post in another thread, along with several other injustices from refs against us here at the Etihad, never mind Klanfield - Leroy, disallowed Raz, disallowed Ruben etc.

Did we ever get an explanation from Alf Grey why Kevin Reeves perfectly good goal was disallowed? I know it's 45 years ago next month, but it still annoys me and imo has completely set the tone for how we are reffed against this shower in the last (almost) half century. Its nothing short of a disgrace, and these latter years I sincerely believe is down to red cartel racist corruption, blue envy, entitlement for the status quo and influence on Pigmol to impact our results.

Pep knows. He says we won the titles on our own. Unlike others in red.
Not only that. We were still celebrating when the cunts re started the game with a free kick and promptly scored with a move from it - what turned out to be the goal that took them to Wembley.

Foy lives in Merseyside (St Helens iirc) and let's just say City had their eyes on him. He officiated the FA Cup game v united, when Vinny was controversially red-carded, and also the Tevez 'comeback' game at Norwich, where he booked Tevez for a dive when he'd clearly been fouled and a penalty should have been awarded.

2014 game Suarez should have had a 2nd yellow for a blatant dive.

VAR disallowed goal for Foden after being brought back for a Haaland foul in a game where the ref was allowing physicality.

Also the George Courtney performance with 2 pens sticks in my head.
