Media discussion - 2025/26

That ( The CL 2 legs) were one of the most blatantly corrupt games ever. Right up there with the Rags v Arsenal with Riley reffing. Still wish we refused to play the 1st leg after the attack on our coach and showed the World the Dippers behaviour
100% correct on all counts

Absolutely, and if they’d have scored that goal against us not a chance there would have been a Howard Webb tv special to address the nation on the wrong doing.

It’s deflection tactics away from the state of their team. They’ve spent a shit ton of money on players who are not doing the business at the moment, plus given out contract extensions to Salah and Van Dijk who are now regressing alarmingly.

What a difference last season is to this when the scouse media love in was in full pelt. They were writing the eulogy on Guardiola’s management career that he was finished at the top. Fast forward to now we have a young developing squad (by no means the finished article yet) playing some fantastic football with a generational talent like Haaland scoring goals for fun. The key take away is Pep learns, reinvents and makes you eat your words.
Spot on! They realised all this Sunday night. And it’s all changed from pep is finished to peps off at the end of the season comfort blanket bollocks! Same shite they used to trot out every year with the aguero to Madrid guff! Absolute desperate wank stains!

Media snorefest. "Not offside......not offside...........not interfering with play........ he's so small as to be insignificant; it was a goal..... look at Donnarumma's arms! And, he's Italian anyway!!"

Yawn yawn yawn!

Do we know - at last - what they did with the Coutinho money?

They invested it for a few years; it grew; then, they threw it all away!

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!

What has been unusual is those whom have said the decision was right. Leading off with the highly surprising Miggy Delaney. Others include Danny Kelly, Hawksby & Jacobs. Dermot Gallagher, Mike Dean. Andy Townsend on American tv. Plenty have said it’s offside.

Anyone from Sky yet said it should have been disallowed ?
Appreciate they do not have coverage of the upcoming International matches.
So are they just using last weekend's domestic games as "filler" ?

Got to be all systems arsenal now then!?It’s quite apparent already. They never f’kin learn do they?I’m not saying City have got this,..but I am saying that ‘they’ are very f’kin worried again.Imagine arsenal scoring the same goal as our opener on Sunday? No chance that they miss the entire build up on motd, none whatsoever.Collective heads all in the sand with this one..

Interesting snippet from BBC Football website:

“Two games this season - Aston Villa v Bournemouth (45 minutes and 48 seconds) and Newcastle v Liverpool (45 minutes and 55 seconds) - have even had under 46 minutes of ball-in-play time.”

PAY FOR TWO HALVES OF FOOTBALL,
RECEIVE ONE HALF OF FOOTBALL!!!

Should we have a game clock that stops when play stops for an injury, a dead ball (penalty, free-kick, corner kick, goal kick), or a throw-in? Clock stops on the ref’s whistle and doesn’t start again until the ball is played and the game restarts.

Two XX minute halves with a XX minute half time, with the onfield ref having no say on the clock?

What say ye?

Just stumbled upon this.

That’s right, Pep has said let’s base our whole style of play on sarcasm!!

Sarcasm as a football tactic ? Someone describing Pep as passive / aggressive ? Who the hell is this bloke ? Stealing a living for sure . He certainly hates Pep..

Last season it was boring boring City, Harland is wasted and Pep is finished as he's been found out. Now Pep plays to Harland's strengths , reduces our possession, secures the defence and it's not flexibility it's sarcastic. Pep isn't being passive aggressive mate , he's finding yet another way to evolve while still using a highly technical team playing Total Football but with a generational talent leading the charge . If you think he's playing Route One Ball you have completely missed the point .

They’ll be walking alone then

Yes of course, it isn’t Pep adapting to the game and building a new team and style

It’s sarcasm and passive aggression

Hate this comparison with Stones goal at wolves, its just there to suggest we get all the decisions.

Sky and their minions going way over the top in their pursuit of whipping up hatred toward us.

Someone should measure how close Bernie was to the flight of the ball compared to robertson as thats the real crux of the matter.

Also, as I remember sky were totally against that goal at wolves at the time, their hypocrisy needs calling out, utter crap.

Weve suffered many a time with a lot worse from the refs/var, especially v these cnts so fck em.

Btw, no other fans are siding with em that I have spoken to, so skys anti City recruitment not working lol.

All the comments on socials are slaughtering the Dippers & claiming it’s offside. They know it’s the Liverpool lobby gaslighting that they are the victims again…

Media still banging on about that offside decision. They're even talking about a need to change the LOTG. Just because the decision went against those twats. The other way around and it would have been swept under the carpet by yesterday morning.
Have Liverpool taken this case to the European Commission on Human Rights yet?
