Antoine Semenyo

I think we should wait to see how this season pans out. Im really hoping Bobb shows his quality but if he has another quiet season I could potentially see us being cut throat and getting rid and bringing someone like Semenyo in, he certainly fits the bill, both on and off the pitch.

Semenyo
Foden
Cherki
Doku
Haaland

Would be frightening

Noice noice noice. Homegrown, high work rate, scores, assists and can play both sides. Also shite at pens

A few quick thoughts.

Bournemouth plays a completely different style from us, and he has little to zero experience breaking down a low block setup from the winger position.
His strength from what I've seen is his ability to take a man one on one in transition, and use his physical gifts and talent to overpower people in transition.
I'm just hesitant to think he will get ample opportunity to do that here with how everyone plays against us.
Obviously, Nico has been a revelation, and the idea of Semenyo playing LW and cutting inside with Nico overlapping behind him is mouth watering.
It would be the most powerful left side attacking setup in world football with those two for years to come.
It would also allow us to play Doku more of the right side and not have to rely on Savinho so much in big games.

I do love him as a player, in my opinion he is Sterling esque with more strength and size to his game.
Bournemouth will likely want close to 80M to sell in January.
That is a large amount for an about to be 26 year old who has never played champions league football before.

Lastly, great that Ghana didn't qualify for AFCON, so he could hit the ground running right away for us into the busy season of New year fixtures.

I would wager the chances of us paying the required £80m+ for Semenyo in January are zero.

We only need another winger if one of Doku, Savinho or Bobb leave and that won't happen in January.

Unless the plan is to move him to the right and move on from one of Savinho and Bobb, I don't see where he fits.

Great player, just not sure who we would move on from to make this work.
I think that will probably be the plan tbh, and I think because savinho has a board member in his corner it will be Bobb

You're off again with that rhetoric that Savinho is only playing because Viana wants him to, the Viana project.

Its not Viana its Soriano. Was pretty widely reported soriano blocked the move. That isn't conjecture its fact. He may well end up being quality, but we kept him this summer for political reasons, not football ones.

Keep on believing that.
The supposed "reason " was that we didn't want to end up with a similar situation to that of Palmer but no one knows

Agreed! A goal scoring winger on the right would be welcome

No. There are better options. Need to steer clear of players who look better fits at their current clubs. If despearate for that type of signing then (Jim) Bowen would be the better bet. Or even keep Jack Grealish.
