Andrew Cole is on Sky giving his expert analysis.
He stated that he really thinks that Manchester City will struggle if Erling Haaland is injured and has to miss games. Andrew cannot see where any goals will come from.
Thank you for your objective analysis, Andrew. Could you please join your friend, Patrice, over in the experts corner.
We have managed to be the leading scorers in English football pretty much for the last ten years. Meanwhile Andy Cole still can’t get a job in football. Probably because he’s a moron

Cole is a bitter Rag who forced his way out of City for a bigger payday at Portsmouth.
He's even more bitter because his son Devante didn't make the cut at City and was moved on without making a senior appearance.
Devante went on to play in the lower leagues (and Motherwell in a farmers league) as a striker and has a massive 85 club career goals in 10 years. Currently plying his trade during what is generally regarded as a players peak years in League One with Port Vale.
With this insight, maybe we should have listened to Andy "call me Andrew" Cole afterall.

I very much doubt people like Ronay seriously give two fucks about the situation in the Sudan, South Sudan, Yemen or anywhere else. It's just a stick to beat us with.

Same way some on here do care about the plight of Palestinians but some see Gaza purely as a stick to beat Israel with or cloak their antisemitism. Or we use Standard Chartered as a stick to beat Liverpool fans with. Etc, etc. It's clear even from the limited subset who post on here that City fans have widely different views on many topics (apart from hatred of the red shirt cartel).

We've all been guilty of selective outrage at some time.
You do wonder why the actual genocide of Nigerian Christians doesn’t get thousands protesting on the streets every weekend or constant media outrage. Almost like it doesn’t fit the agenda.

City 5 Liverpool 0
Yes, but Mane should never have been red carded and Liverpool were the better team until that turning point (conveniently forgetting that City were actually winning 1-0)

City 2 Liverpool 1
Yes, but if Stones hadn't have cleared off the line, then Liverpool would have been Champions (conveniently forgetting our late penalty miss at Anfield)

Liverpool 1 City 4
Yes, but games without crowds don't count
(Conveniently forgetting that City also lost numerous home games that season and were still Champions)

City 3 Liverpool 0
Is it safe to go out yet or are they still whining about the disallowed goal?

What about the Rodri handball at Everton?
Fuck off!
It was offside anyway

The irony behind that is that the result didn't count because of empty stadia during covid but the title did count despite empty stadia during covid - mental gymnastics at their best.

I have no issue with the highlighting of the links
City -> Mansour -> Sudan

I have large issues with the fact that it’s just one club who are singled out for dubious ‘links’ to hideous things in the world by Ronay et al.

Where were all the pieces for:

United -> Saudi -> khashoggi
United have had a very longterm relationship with Saudi, including a sports academy (opened after Khashoggi murder) iirc

Liverpool-> standard Chartered -> laundering billions for terrorists and billion in fines

Going back further
Arsenal -> owner investment -> blood diamonds

And the amount of fawning pieces from all the football media who went to Russia - after Crimea, the Donbas, Chechenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Trans Nistra etc, had occurred/occuring …

Until football media pieces start having ‘mea culpa’ sections, then they can stfu and stop trying to point score geo-political against their most hated noncartel club
Great post.

Bravo sir.

If only the British media would follow suit.

Sir Martin goes forth

I’m not a subscriber but I know what he’s going to argue cos I’ve heard him argue it before. And he’s right.
Poorly run clubs go kaput from time to time. Shit happens. As in any other line of business. And in football, it’s ok to dream, to overreach. That’s part of what makes it so special.

I'm not a subscriber either but it opens for me (I'm registered on their site tho' so it may be that)

The positive exposure Oasis have brought to City around the world has been unreal and priceless for the club.

Buenos Aires.
