Stones in midfield only works if you have good movement infront and you dont give the ball away cheaply, which we havent had.

Im a massive fan of Wharton but he's had a bit of a stinker. Giving the ball away too much.

Terrible first half this pick and mix team selection looks average at best, I get we’ve already qualified and Tommy tuch is experimenting but I think momentum is everything and this selection has no pace or creativity that being said I’d like to see the city boys off they are being dragged down to the level of this selection .

That's the problem with Bellingham. He's too clumsy to play with any degree of intricacy in those pockets near the goal.

Whatever his tactics are they aren’t working. A back three and Stones in midfield isn’t working. Rice is too far forward and persistently offside. Eze is a lovely player but at times is a slouch. No creativity from the midfield, Wharton & Stones are not a great combination, Bellingham is busy but not done much. Very frustrating first half.

Yep. Tuchel need to play with a back four. This would allow O'Reilly to push up. He can't as part of a back three.
