Hell’s commentary team

I don’t mind Smith. Maybe it’s a small doses thing and that he seems genuine. Whereas Hinchcliffe always seems overly and unnecessarily negative towards City - I know all fan bases think commentators are against them but with Hinchliffe, there does seem to be something in it
It's not even just city with hinchcliffe every game he's on comms he's always negative.im glad he does the majority of games in the EFL and not the prem.
Smith I find his voice very boring, can almost send you to sleep plus his bias towards arsenal is annoying.

But Smith’s bias is honest bias, if you know what I mean. Neville and Carragher pretend but then the mask slips. Smith is obviously Arsenal and I don’t really have a problem with that - although I do wish we had some cheerleaders at times

By and large I don't dislike commentators as much as co commentators.
It's actually a pretty difficult job I reckon to describe action as it happens.
There is the occasional truly obnoxious individual like Alan Green but most are just doing a pretty difficult job with varying degrees of success and bias.
There are though far to many co commentators who add no insight and just display there own biases. By and large the radio ones are much better.

I don't hate him but Stuart Pearce has to be the most gormless pundit of all time. Here's a couple of gems from his radio commentary today on the Albania game: "I am impressed by Tuchel because he never changes the shape of the team." Not much chance of total football then. Another comment today: "England have to be cautious because Albania are a brilliant counter-attacking team."

Agree that a commentator should just "comment" on what he sees.
That was the old-fashioned way that, to me, is still acceptable.
But, it all changed with John "Statto" Motson.
He crammed in as many statistics as he possibly could.
Then, even more annoyingly, would preface it with "I think", as in "I think it's X's 100th goal", knowing it full well it was.
His counterpart/rival was Barry Davies who was far more entertaining and passionate.
The current commentator who has inherited Motson's mantle is Jonathan Pearce - a real rent-a-gob...

I can’t stand Twatterface.

As for co-commentator, it has to be Stuart "I’m a shit manager" Pearce.

You’re also a shit co-commentator, Psycho!

Pearce is awful on the radio. I’m not sure if he’s particularly bias or negative one way or the other but his delivery is awful - he sounds like someone in the stands ‘it didn’t look like a free kick to me’ - you’re on the fucking radio. Explain what you are seeing!!

Let's add the amount of times he says
Yuh know before each sentence.

The standard across the board is shite. Dixon and Hoddle are by far the dullest. Twatterface tries to be funny but doesn't know what he's talking about. Spitty and GNIAC are cunts. Pearce is a moron.

Darren Fletcher on TNT is probably the most tolerable for me. When I re-watch our CL games his voice seems to really match the jeopardy of the games.

What annoys me the most, is when the conversation between the two commentators drifts away from the game and wanders down a path of no relevance to an event some years ago, or a player in a different era.
Twatterface, in particular, will not break off his reminiscent monologue, even during an exciting attack.
