Seat Counters 25/26

Are they likely to put the other blocks on sale or just sell the ones that are left on Monday and send the others back to Madrid? Cheers
Good question, it'll depend how well the current ones sell basically.

I would guess that an extra 2 blocks might end up on sale, but I don't know about the rest of them.

If you're after one on the bottom level, I'd keep an eye on the planner on Monday morning when tickets go on sale to Matchday Members

Our apathy for the 8th visit to the Bernabeau in 13 seasons, speaks volumes for the general attitude towards the new CL format and the way it's diluted any jeopardy or importance to such a prestigious fixture

In all but name, this is the European Super League and it wouldn't surprise me if the CL eventually merges with the Europa League (adding promotion and relegation) and UEFA introduce some kind of rule whereby certain clubs qualify automatically regardless of where they finish domestically (and we all know who that would benefit).

In the meantime City might have sold more tickets for Monaco and Villarreal, but not that many.

It's all a bit samey and unless we get a brand new venue such as Eintracht Frankfurt or PSV Eindhoven the numbers will continue to diminish

I was thinking of going because I've never been to an away fixture in Europe. I mentioned this to my neighbour at the Etihad who went to Madrid with his son a few years ago.

He grimaced, said the police were bloody awful, and he would never go back because it was such an uncomfortable experience. Maybe others that have been there feel the same.

Anyway, that did it for me. I'll wait for a fixture that's in a more accommodating location later in the tournament. I'm in the cup scheme and have enough points, so why bother.

Funnily enough, I was thinking of this away game today. I’m not going, never considered it. - it’s pretty much a meaningless group game which comes before/just after Xmas and all that

I can’t remember when it is but it’s a game for TV, not the people going. I expect we will lose playing at 60% of effort - it’s simply not worth the first team putting the effort in

Therefore, I wouldn’t suggest anyone go. But obviously, people want to go way from home and that’s fine. But as you say, fam treatment is an issue so this would be a great game to boycott

We got enough jeopardy last year, didn't reach the last 16 for the first time in 12 years.

If it was six games rather than 8 it would be better, but I much prefer playing teams once than twice.

Promotion from the EL is already there. Thats why the 17th best team in the PL is in this year's CL. After winning a playoff with the 16th best team.

Yeah I'm not disputing the actual format though which I think is better.

It's more that the extra games have diluted the general interest (not just amongst City fans) of travelling to these type of games.

Been Madrid 6 times. Didn't even consider going again.
First time we were singing in the bogs "having a piss in the Bernabeu" and everyone was laughing and amazed at where we were.
Last time I didn't even go in the ground.....it's just what happens with success.

I'm going (yet again) to support the team.

There are no group games and neither is it meaningless given that automatic qualification is at stake.

The effort needed to beat them away from home doesn’t seem worth it to me. Worst ways we get a playoff place but we’ll be seeded and unlikely to get a tough match

Sadly,.your neighbour was spot on

I had no intention of going but my partner has never been to Madrid and I was able to wait until this morning when she was finally eligible for a ticket and get two together.
I've told her to forget all about her civil rights but I can tell that she thinks I'm exaggerating

I'd love.to see the exact wording of this Spanish bylaw and how it dictates that two 61 year olds can be such a security threat in Madrid and yet strangely not in Villarreal

Play off means 2 extra games, we can do without!!!

Not sure that the Play offs worked out too well for us, last season though?? :0)

Win or Lose it’s City and we can be on the Booze with the Blues !! :0)

Going for the first time in the
City away end :0(

If I get the ticket collection issue sorted ??!!

Was there in 2016, but amongst the Madrid fans :0(

Hopefully, this time we will take the hand brake off from the beginning?? :0)
