That's a great point, but on reflection, it also reinforces my wider argument that all the clubs (not just City) are more interested in the TV/Prize Money that the extra CL games provide, rather than any consideration towards the travelling supporters.
I attended all those games that you listed, but whilst Bratislava was one of my favourite trips in years (not least due to the friendliness of the local police), last Season also provided my 3rd trip to Sporting Lisbon, Juventus, and PSG,
I'm pretty sure that all three games went on open sale and I'm not convinced that we sold out for any of them.
It's the same with Madrid this time. We've got an ageing diminishing hardcore who will always travel to the Bernabeu, but 8 visits in 13 seasons is starting to impact.
